3 Month Favourites! | October - December 2020

 Hey Guys x

I was going to combine my 3 Month Favourites and my 2020 favourites, but at the last minute decided to do two separate posts. So here's a slightly shorter 3 Month Favourites, and tomorrow I'll be uploading my 2020 favourites!

Favourite Movie (1): Host

I got a subscription to 'Shudder' for my birthday a few weeks ago. Shudder is a subscription service that specialises in horror movies and shows, and it is much more fitting to my taste in movies than most other services out there. But this is a Shudder original movie, and I was recommended it by two different people, so I decided to give it a try and was so pleasantly surprised. It's not even an hour long, but it packs so much into that 56 minutes. It goes down the line of 'Unfriended' (taking place over a computer) and is set during the Pandemic, which just makes it feel so much more real. It's one of the best horror movies I've seen in a long time, so definitely watch it (preferably on a laptop) if you can!

Favourite Movie (2): Happiest Season

I reviewed this on the first day of Blogmas, and you can check out my review HERE. I'm not going to repeat anything I've already said, but this is a feel-good Christmas movie that I'd definitely recommend, even now that Christmas is over!

Favourite Movie (3): The Trial of the Chicago 7

I reviewed this film HERE, and it was one of my highest-rated films of the year. I thought it was amazing, and I keep planning to watch it again, just to see if it has the same impact on me a second time. Definitely watch this film!

Favourite TV Show (1): Girlfriends

This show came out on Netflix recently. It's an old show, but I missed it the first time around because it aired 20 years ago! But I started watching it and become completely obsessed! It's a sitcom, so each episode is only 21 minutes, and I've found that I can easily watch between 6 and 10 in one sitting without realising it. I love these characters, I love their storylines, and I can't wait to see where they end up when I finish the show!

Favourite TV Show (2); Charmed

I had almost given up hope of Season 2 of Charmed airing in the UK. Then, all of a sudden, there it was - 5 episodes in! I managed to catch up, and am now finished with the season. I love this show so much! I didn't watch the original, so this is my first experience of 'Charmed', and I think the show is so good! I enjoyed the first season more than the second, but the second is still really good - and I hope it doesn't take two years for the UK to get the third season!

Favourite Song: Radio Garden

So this doesn't count as one song, but I found this website on a Buzzfeed article a few weeks ago, and just completely fell in love with it. The site lets you listen to radio stations from around the world, and it's great to have on in the background while working. Especially when you've played all of your Spotify playlists 1,000 times! The app is free, and if you want to check it out, here it is: http://radio.garden/

Favourite Actor (1): Chris Evans

In the lead-up to Christmas, I wasn't watching many films that weren't Christmas movies, but I did end up watching, and re-watching, a few of Chris Evans' movies. Of the few that I watched, the number one standout was Snowpiercer (which is currently on Amazon Prime Video in the UK). I first saw it maybe two years ago, and I think I loved it even more this time around!  But it's definitely ignited my love for Chris Evans this month.

Favourite Actor (2): Simon Pegg
So Simon Pegg joined Instagram in December, and his throwback pictures keep reminding me of how many of his films I've seen and loved. So because of all that reminiscing, he had to be on this list. The legacy of films he's made speaks for itself.

Favourite Book(s): Me Before You and After You

I re-watched the Me Before You movie a couple of months ago, and as soon as I finished, I wanted to re-read the book. Crazily enough, 'Me Before You' was one of my first posts, back in May 2014 (!), and I hadn't read it since, so I was long overdue a re-read! When I was finished, I went straight to 'After You', which I had had for a few years, but never read. I didn't love 'After You' as much as the original, but as a combination, I loved living in Louisa Clark's world for the month and a half that it took me to read the two books, and I now really want to read the third in the series!

Random Favourites: Vlogmas
This is my last favourite. Every year I really look forward to December, and one of the reasons for that is Vlogmas. It has changed over the years, but this year both Zoe Sugg and Carrie Hope Fletcher have been regularly uploading, and I look forward to their videos so much that I had to mention them quickly here.

And that's my last 3 Month favourites post! What have you been loving?

Come back tomorrow for my 2020 Favourites!

Lou
