The fourth instalment of After - each time I watch one of these films and see how bad it is, I almost think about not watching the next one. But here I am with a review of the fourth. After the events of the last film, secrets are revealed that threaten to break up Tessa (Josephine Langsford) and Hardin (Hero Fiennes-Tiffin) for good. This was not a good movie.  The first note I made was that I hate these characters. I hate them individually and I hate them together. They're not enjoyable to watch. Most of the dialogue feels inauthentic and disingenuous. The story itself is bland and boring. It feels like a bunch of random scenes cut together, rather than a coherent movie. There wasn't much in terms of plot, and the whole thing felt pointless. It had the most abrupt, random ending I've seen in a film in a while. Overall, I probably wouldn't recommend any of the After films, but I definitely wouldn't recommend this one - and yet I'll probably watch the next one (...

So, the third 'After' movie. Of course, I was always going to review it (as I'll continue to do if more are made), but after not really enjoying the second film, I wasn't that excited to see the third.  Just when Tessa (Josephine Langford) and Hardin (Hero Fiennes Tiffin) are back on track, a job offer, the return of a family member, and secrets from Hardin's past threaten to destroy their relationship for good. This is a weird one for me. I would say that I didn't really like maybe 80% of the movie, but the parts that I did enjoy were enough to excite me for a possible fourth film. The first thing I noted about the film is that it feels really juvenile. The characters feel a lot younger than they're acting - how old are they actually supposed to be? I had a problem with Tessa's character development in the second movie, but I felt like in this one, the filmmakers have finally decided who she is going to be, and started working towards that, which is gre...

  I reviewed the first 'After' movie when it premiered on Netflix UK back in 2019. I was familiar with the original 'After' story, so I wanted to see how the film turned out. It wasn't a great film, but I did enjoy it. Here we have the sequel to Tessa and Hardin's story, which came out last year on Amazon Prime Video. After being apart for a month, Tessa (Josephine Langford) and Hardin (Hero Fiennes-Tiffin) are trying to move on from their break-up. But the couple quickly find themselves drawn to each other all over again. As their relationship becomes more complicated than ever, with everything standing in their way, can Tessa and Hardin find their way back to each other? Hey Guys x I've actually been aware of the 'After' story for a while. I'm not a One Direction fan in particular, but I am really into the fanfic community, and have read more fanfics than I can count (and written a fair few myself), so when After was being written I had it saved in my Wattpad library and read a few chapters. I didn't hate it, but it didn't capture my attention enough to read all 100 chapters.
