A Nice Girl Like You | Film Review
Hey Guys x I remember seeing this when I was scrolling through Netflix and being really intrigued. I like Lucy Hale as an actress, and I'd never seen a film with a premise quite like this one, so I thought it would be an interesting watch. After Lucy Neal (Lucy Hale) is dumped by her boyfriend over her lack of sexual expertise, she creates a sex-based to-do list that leads her on a journey of love and self-discovery. I didn't like this movie as much as I thought I might. I like the premise, and it does what it says it will do, but for me it just wasn't executed in the right way. The cardinal sin of this movie is that it is boring. This starts with the character of Lucy, who is not only boring, but also a bit unlikeable (at least at the beginning of the film). I am completely fine with her being a prude, and being inexperienced and embarrassed. But there's a way for her to be a prude without being boring. We could have got to know who she is as a person, rather than h...
