Hereditary | Film Review
Hey Guys x I saw this yesterday and decided to just review it straight away - especially given that it falls within my favourite genre of film: horror. It's about a woman whose mother passes away. After her mother's funeral, she begins to find out terrifying things about her family history. The more she discovers, the more she puts her family at risk, until it seems like they can't escape these problems. After all, they didn't stumble upon them, they inherited them. I have mixed feelings about this film. On the one hand, when you see it in its entirety, I really like the idea. The fact that the family are being 'haunted' by something that has been in their family for generations is really interesting and clever. Especially as you get more into the story and see the ways that the family are being tormented. On the other hand, the film itself wasn't what I thought it would be.
