February Favourites! | 2016

Image
Hey Guys x I can't believe it's already the end of February, it seems like yesterday it was 2015! Anyway, I have a lot of things to share with you this month that I've been loving, so I'm gonna get started! This is without a doubt the most favourites I've ever had! I hope you enjoy seeing my favourites and I hope some of them become your favourites! Favourite Film: Do You Believe Don't be put off by the fact that this film looks religious - I am not religious at all and I loved it! It's about 12 different people, and the way that their lives all interconnect due to their varying life circumstances and their opinions about religion. Off the top of my head, these 12 include a priest, an atheist doctor, a homeless mother, a criminal and a pregnant teenager. This film is incredible, I mean, I've never cried harder at a film than I have watching this for the first time. Definitely give it a chance, even if you're not religious, as I'm not.

Book Review #41: Girl Online On Tour

Image
Hey Guys x Sorry I didn't post yesterday, I just had a really bad day! Anyway, I used my bad day to finally finish Zoe Sugg's latest novel, Girl Online On Tour. I've written a post about YouTuber books, so it's a bit ironic that this is the first book I'm reviewing in 2016! I reviewed the first Girl Online book, which you can see here . You might want to read that first because this book follows on from the first one. I just noticed that my first book reviews of both 2015 and 2016 have been Zoe's books. Anyway, let me get on with the review. I'm assuming that you know about Girl Online so, if you don't, this review might contain spoilers. Penny is back! And this time, everything's different. Penny's about to go on tour with Noah. Yes, following Brooklyn Boy around Europe seems like the best thing in the world! However, Penny soon finds that tour life isn't everything she thought it would be. She's alone, worried, and has no

99 Questions No One Asks! | Tag

Image
Hey Guys x I haven't done a tag in a while! So I thought that I'd do one today! I found this one on the blog 'Stylishly Yours', and you can view it here ! If you want to do this tag, then please do it and comment your links so that I can see your answers to the questions! 99 Questions 1:Do you sleep with your closet doors open or closed? I’ve never really thought about it to be honest! If they’re open, they’re open, if they’re closed, they’re closed! I never intentionally leave them open before bed, but I don’t mind sleeping with them already open. 2:Do you take the shampoos and conditioner bottles from hotel? I don’t stay in hotels enough to be able to answer this! But I guess, if I did stay in hotels, I probably wouldn’t. 3:Do you sleep with your sheets tucked in or out? Sheets or like, duvet cover? Sheets in, duvet cover out, otherwise it’s like sleeping in a coffin! 4:Have you ever stolen a street sign before? Um, I don’t know if I

Life In Black and White

Image
Hey Guys x Sometimes, I feel like I live my life in black and white. This is a strange thing to say or think about, so let me explain it further. You know if you're out with friends and having a good time, and then all of a sudden, something hits you and you become... aware of yourself. And then you feel really awkward and uncomfortable in your own skin and basically start to wonder why you're such an awkward mess? No, just me? Ok then! I describe this feeling as 'living in black and white', mainly because I feel like I'm not living life the way I should be, or enjoying things as much as I should be. And I've been having this feeling more and more lately. I'm not the best person socially, which has always been the case and I don't really focus on that too much, but becoming aware of my awkwardness is the worst thing ever, because not only do I become aware of it, but I feel like whoever I'm speaking to is aware of it too. I guess th

University | What They Don't Tell You!

Image
Hey Guys x As some of you may know, I started university in September last year. I've enjoyed it and also found it really difficult at times. However, I've noticed how different things are, from how I imagined they would be before I started. So I thought I'd fill you in on some of these things and let you know the truth about university! Although I have to point out that this information is directly related to my experiences and might not necessarily be the same as yours. The First Year Isn't All Fun and Games Before going, I thought that the first year was (excuse my language) the fuck-up year, the year where you can make mistakes, not hand in assignments and get drunk every single day. Well, tell this to my tutors because they don't care whether it's your first year or your third year, you're going to work your arse off, get completely stressed out and get the best grades possible... or so they hope! You'll Lose Touch With Old Friends

The YouTuber Book Rant!

Image
( Image Link ) Hey Guys x YouTubers writing books has become a thing within the last 2 years, and it's quite a controversial thing! It's a topic that I've wanted to talk about for a while because I have some quite strong views on it, from both points of view. I also want to get your opinions on it because it's such an interesting topic! So, I am not on any particular side with this debate, because I can see both points of view about YouTubers writing books. I also need to point out that I don't see Carrie Hope Fletcher's book as a 'YouTuber book' - to me, she's an author. I think YouTubers writing books is great - on the one hand, as a viewer. These people have a lot of really young viewers, some as young as under 11. Because of this, these books can be the things that get these children to enjoy reading, which - as a bookworm - I think is really important! And I also think it's a good business. Many celebrities write (or have

Valentine's Day Playlist

Image
Hey Guys - Happy Valentine's day! x And as it's Valentine's day, I thought that I'd do a special 'Monthly' music playlist, all about this day! By this, I mean that I'm going to show you some of my favourite love songs, which gives me the chance to listen to as many love songs as possible! Let me know what songs you like to listen to on Valentine's day! Love Me Like You Do - Ellie Goulding I re-watched 'Fifty Shades Of Grey' the other day and I completely loved it! It also made me fall back in love with this song, which I think is just so romantic and lovely. Definitely listen to this if you haven't already! Single Ladies - Beyonce This is a definite cliche of mine, but I still love it. And as I'm eternally single, this is the perfect song to listen to, particularly if you don't want to hear all the lovey-dovey romance music that will be filling the radios (and this playlist!) today! Love You More - JLS When J

Valentine's Ideas For Single People!

Image
Hey Guys x This Sunday is Valentine's day, and like every other Valentine's day of my life, I am single. So, for all the single people out there that are dreading all the cute Instagram pictures and Twitter captions, I thought I'd give you some things to do on Valentine's day that will keep your mind off of being in a relationship! Just Like Any Other Day The easiest thing to do, which I do every year, is to treat Valentine's day just like it's every other day. If you wouldn't cry about being single on August 12th, then you shouldn't cry about being single on February 14th! Literally do nothing, and enjoy it! Throw A Single's Party! I love this idea! If you have a group of single friends, get together with them and have a party - one where you can't mention boys or relationships or Instagram couples or Valentine's, and just have some fun! It's a good chance to see your friends and it's great if you don't want to be al

Ramble About Youtube | Response To Jack Howard

Image
Hey Guys x Recently, Jack Howard made a video talking about YouTube. In the video (which you can watch above!) he said that he doesn't feel stimulated by typical 'popular' content, and he feels like he doesn't belong on YouTube anymore as a viewer. So I thought that I would respond to his video, because I have a few thoughts about this topic that I'd love to discuss with some of my own readers. First of all, I completely understand and agree with what Jack is saying about 'popular' content, and it's something that I've thought for a while too. I still subscribe to many 'mainstream' YouTubers (And when I say 'Mainstream', I mean team gleam, i.e. Zoe and Marcus etc with over 1 million subs) because I fell in love with their content in 2014. However, I'm finding that, more and more often, videos sit in my sub box unwatched because either I'm not interested in what they have to say, or I've seen the same kind of v

Inner Beauty

Image
Quotesgram.com Hey Guys x I watched a film last night called 'Shallow Hal', and immediately decided that I wanted to write a post about it because it touched me so much. In this film, the main character Hal, only dates women that fit his standards of beauty. So a hypnotist, hypnotizes him to see inner beauty on the outside. So when he meets Rosemary, he sees her as beautiful Gwyneth Paltrow, and begins to fall in love with everything about her, rather than just the way she looks. However, to everyone else, Rosemary is still beautiful Gwyneth paltrow, but with an added 200+ pounds, making her someone that Hal would never usually go for. I think that the idea for this film is incredible, because the idea is so simple, but it was made really well and I really enjoyed it. What I loved the most about the film, or what made me tear up, was that in the film, Rosemary and Hal went to see some children in a hospital. He saw nothing wrong with them and played with them and

Friendships

Image
Hey Guys x Sorry this is up an hour late - I've been having laptop problems! I've been thinking about friendships a lot lately, both the friendships that I have and the friendships that I see forming around me. I have this problem where, if I'm friends with someone, I have high expectations from them. Not anything big, just like being there for each other and doing things together etc etc. But the worst thing about that is that if it doesn't happen, or if I end up feeling left out for any reason, I start to write the friendship off because I feel that, obviously if they don't want to spend time with me then they must hate me and not want to be my friend right? However, I've been thinking about this recently, about the different types of friendships. I've come to the conclusion that my friends are great for different things, but none of them are great at everything - which is normal, I'm not great at everything either. One of my closest fr
