My 2018 Summer Reading List!

Image
Hey Guys x So as you can see, it's that time of year again. The time when I'm done with uni and so actually get to go back to reading books for pleasure as opposed to reading them for essays! Let's get started! The Hate U Give I bought this on a whim because I heard about the film and recognised some of the actors in it. It's by Angie Thomas and is about a girl called Starr who lives in two worlds: the poor black neighbourhood that she lives in, and the fancy prep school that she attends. When she is the sole witness to the shooting of her unarmed childhood best friend by a policeman, she finds that what she says could destroy her community. However, it could also endanger her life. Doesn't that sound so good? I can't wait to read this! Some Kind of Wonderful As I say every year, Gi Fletcher is one of my favourite authors of all time, and I'm pretty sure that I have purchased every word that she's written so far (not including her new bo...

My 2017 Summer Reading List!

Hey Guys x Happy March 1st! I've had major problems with these pictures, so please forgive me if they're not the best quality. My camera is on it's way out, so I ended up having to take pictures on my phone. Then it took so long to get the pictures from the phone to the laptop, I definitely nearly gave up. Nevertheless, I managed to get them and edit them, so hopefully they're at least halfway decent! I finish uni on the 10th of May. I am so lucky with that date, because it means that I have months of free time to play with, and a lot of that time will include reading these books! Last year I got through 6 of the books on my reading list, as well as two that weren't on it because, at the time, they hadn't come out yet. This year, I'm hoping to beat that. There are two books that I'll be including that haven't been released yet, but I'll mention them at the end. I have to say, I really don't have high hopes for myself this yea...

Hey Guys x This might seem a little early for summer, given that it's still the beginning of May. However, my summer officially begins next week! I am so excited to have nothing to do! I honestly don't think I've read a book for leisure since I began uni which is crazy, so picking these books was really fun! I did a post like this last summer, and I failed! I only got through 4 1/2 of the 11 books that I wanted to read over the summer - so this year, I want to beat my record! So I've chosen different books this time around (even though I haven't read most of the ones from last year!), and I'll give you a brief description of them. Nobody's Girl and Ten Things We Shouldn't Have Done These are the two books that I always start my summer off with. They are my favourite books in the entire world, so I make sure that I read them both at least once a year. They're both coming of age novels that are really fun and adventurous. I talked ab...
