July Favourites!

I can't believe I'm saying this, but this post is my 4th 'favourites' post! I can't believe that I've been blogging this long. I remember when blogging was something that I was scared to do because I thought that no one would care what I had to say.
If you've even read one post, let alone more than one post, thank you so much.

Favourite Movie: Oculus



I only saw this a few days ago, but I loved it so much that I had to put it in. However, if you're a horror enthusiast like me you may be disappointed. The film didn't scare me at all, which is something that I look for in good horror movies. The reason that I loved this was because of the story. I liked the way it was portrayed and I love the fact that you couldn't guess what would happen in the end.

Favourite TV Show: Two And A Half Men



I. Am. Obsessed. I watch this show at least once every day, sometimes I watch the same episode on continuous days because I can't get over how funny it is! I like the show with Charlie Sheen and with Ashton Kutcher, however, I have to say that I do prefer Charlie Sheen. I just like the fact that he's the original  actor and he wasn't bought in to replace anyone. Also, I've had a soft spot for Charlie since I saw 'Scary Movie 3'!

Favourite Song: Happy Little Pill



Happy Little Pill is the debut song from Troye Sivan's EP. It only came out last Friday and I've been playing it non-stop since I bought it! I just love the fact that the lyrics are quite positive, and I love the rhythm of the song. And it's easy to sing along to. Watch this space, whether you like it or not, Troye Sivan is the next big thing!

Favourite YouTuber: Joe Sugg



Joe Sugg is my current YouTube obsession. I have been watching his vlogs repeatedly for the last few days. I think my favourite thing about him is his sense of humour. He never fails to make me laugh and I love that. As well as this, he's always in videos with other people, enabling me to see more of my favourites through his vlogs and collaborations.

Favourite Game: Pop Idol



Before buying this, I hadn't played a Play Station 2 game in ages! My sister and I had this game when we were younger and made great memories with it, so of course we had to get it again and recreate those memories! We have played this game loads and probably memorised all of the songs, we even sing them when we're not playing the game!

Favourite Music Artist: One Direction



I downloaded the 'Midnight Memories' single this month because I heard Rocky Dillon's cover (here) and fell in love with the song! They're my favourite music artists this month because I really appreciate the fact that, whether they write their own music or not, their songs are amazing, and some of the most played songs on my phone!

Favourite Celebrity: Tom Parker



Not only is he a member of 'The Wanted', but he has just released a song called 'fireflies' with Fazer (aka Richard Rawson) which is amazing. But the reason that he's my favourite celebrity rather than music artist is because of the fact that he is one of the only members of 'The Wanted' that I see regularly tweeting his fans. Which, as a fan myself, is fantastic.

Favourite YouTube Video: Two Boys Get Messy

This is a Marcus Butler collaboration with Alfie Deyes. I love this video because I love the fact that they are so willing to get completely messed up and to ruin their clothes for the sake of a video. It shows how dedicated they are.

A creative writing assignment complicates the relationship between a teacher (Martin Freeman) and his student (Jenna Ortega). I heard about this film maybe once and remember being interested in it, but then I never heard anything about it again. So when I saw it was available to rent/buy on Prime Video, I decided to give it a shot.  I don't know what to make of this one. I didn't hate it, but there wasn't a lot to like. The only thing I did like was that Martin Freeman and Jenna Ortega worked really well together and had good chemistry. I'd love to see them work together again, in a film with a better plot and a less weird (platonic) relationship. The characters are written really weirdly. There were many moments when they said things that were just so unbelievable, especially Jenna Ortega's character, Cairo. American Psycho | 100 Movies Bucket List

This one was a re-watch. I'd seen this film once before watching it for the Bucket List. My memories of it weren't wholly positive - I didn't love the first watch, and while I didn't hate it, it wasn't a film that I was itching to watch again. Though saying that, I knew that I probably would watch it again eventually, because I knew how much of a classic it was. Like a lot of films I've watched for the Bucket List, I liked it more this time around than I did the first time, though I still didn't love it as much as I wanted to. But that being said, I did really enjoy it. The writing was great and Christian Bale was amazing in the role, as were the supporting actors. For me, though, the most iconic thing about this movie is its soundtrack. The songs used are amazing and fit the movie so well. They're used in such a unique, original way, that it feels like this alone makes the movie a classic. The film is really well made, and even though I don't love i

Snatch | 100 Movies Bucket List

I'd never heard of this film before last year, when I watched it for the first time, so this time around was my second watch. Guy Richie's movies tend to be a bit hit-or-miss for me. This is one of the only ones where I don't have a strong opinion one way or the other. I didn't love the story, it didn't hold my interest the whole way through. But one thing that I absolutely loved was the dialogue. It was smart, quippy and made the film a much more fun watch than the plot itself would suggest. Another thing I absolutely loved was Brad Pitt's performance. This was probably one of my favourite roles of his. He did a great job with the character, and it was really different to everything else I've seen him in. But that being said, all of the performances were great. For me, if I had to guess why this film is considered a classic, it would 100% be because of the script and performances, rather than the film as a whole. It was the script that kept me locked in and

My Problem With '8 Simple Rules'

Hey Guys x Today's post might come out as more of a rant, which I'm OK with because I haven't ranted about something in a while! Last year, I started watching the show '8 Simple Rules' when it started playing on Comedy Central. It originally came on between 2002 and 2005 but I didn't watch it when it was first on. Anyway, I really got into it. There were only three seasons, so it was over before I wanted it to be. And I loved this show, and I still love it. Comedy Central doesn't play it anymore but if it did I would dive right back into it because I love a good sitcom. However, I have a major gripe with a plotline of the show, that got more prominent in season 2/3. Let me just explain the characters a bit, so you know who I'm taking about in case you never watched it. This post is coming a day earlier than usual because I'm not going to be able to post anything tomorrow. I've said this before, but I don't think I know that much about fashion. My style is more comfortable than fashionable, nevertheless, I appreciate the fashion of other people.
