Hurry Up Tomorrow | Film Review
An insomniac musician (Abel Tesfaye) meets a mysterious fan (Jenna Ortega) who causes his life to spiral out of control. I heard that this film was bad - before I watched it I didn't see one good review. And that made me really curious about it. Not only to see if everyone was actually right, but because sometimes it's really fun to watch bad films. And the reviews were right, because this was not a good film. The music portions of the film lasted way too long. I know that the movie ties in to an album by The Weeknd, but as someone who doesn't listen to his music, I didn't need those scenes, and they didn't add anything to the film for me. It's clear that the flashing lights and bright colours are meant to portray the character's disoriented state of mind, but they're actually just distracting.
