Rudy (Rudy Mancuso), a creator with synaesthesia navigates the pressures of love and family while facing an uncertain future.

I'd heard a lot of great things about this movie before I saw it, so I went in with really high expectations!

And while I liked the film, I didn't like it as much as I thought I would.

The idea was interesting and unique, and it had a lot of potential.

I really liked watching the characters, but I never felt totally invested in them. I never really got to know the characters outside of Rudy, and I thought they could have been developed a bit more.

But in saying that, my favourite thing about the characters was the chemistry. Rudy and Isabella (Camila Mendes) had really great, believable chemistry. It was fun watching them together.

In fact, I liked the supporting characters a lot more than I liked Rudy. I didn't always know what to make of him, and there were definitely times when I felt like he didn't deserve to be with either of his love interests!

One of the things about the film that threw me off was that I was expecting it to be more of a traditional musical, and it wasn't. But the way it was done came from Rudy's thoughts and the way his mind worked. So while it wasn't traditional, the musical element was original and thought-provoking.

I found the tone a bit odd in places. It had funny moments but wasn't a comedy, didn't always feel dramatic enough to be a drama or romantic enough to be a romance, it was kind of a mixed bag.

Overall, I liked this film, but I didn't love it. I'd recommend it, but I don't know if I'd necessarily watch it again - it's a weird one for me!

  When Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) is confronted by the TVA, he has to work with Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) to save his world from an existential threat. I was so excited to see this movie. I'm a huge fan of the Deadpool movies, the X-Men movies and the Wolverine solo movies, so the idea of these characters teaming up felt perfect to me. When a heist goes wrong, unlikely partners Rory (Matt Damon) and Cobby (Casey Affleck) have to team up to escape the police and take the money they need. I was looking forward to seeing this film so much - to the point where I was counting down the days until it came out! I love the actors involved, the plot looked interesting, and it was promised to be quite funny so I was here for it! Thankfully I loved the movie. I've seen it three times since it first came out and I've loved it more each time. I was really glad that it got straight into the action. In under 10 minutes, we know the characters and what the heist is, and we can sit back and enjoy without any unnecessary backstory. The fun thing about the movie is that it plays like a reverse heist - usually in a heist movie the heist takes place at the end of the film, goes well and everyone walks away with everything they wanted. The Lion King | 100 Movies Bucket List

  Next up for the Bucket List was another animated re-watch! This is one of the core Disney movies from my childhood, so I've probably seen this upwards of 50 times. I've always liked the film, so liking it again this time around isn't exactly news. The one thing that struck me this time around, though, was how amazing the soundtrack was! Every single song is iconic and honestly, as good as the story itself is, I truly believe the reason the film is as highly regarded as it is, is because of the amazing soundtrack. That was definitely my favourite thing about it! As far as animated Disney classics go, there are definitely some that I probably would have liked to see on the bucket list more than this one, but this is definitely a classic and absolutely deserves its place!

Baahubali | 100 Movies Bucket List

  Next up for the Bucket List was a first-time watch. This was one I'd never heard of before seeing it on the list, and while it wasn't one I was particularly looking forward to, it wasn't one I was opposed to watching either. But even with neutral feelings, I was really pleasantly surprised by the film. I had such a good time with it! For a start, the story was a really interesting one. I got into it right away and became invested in the characters almost immediately. One of the reasons I became invested in the characters was because they were played so well. The actors in the film were all amazing and really made me feel connected to the characters they played. Where Rainbows End vs. Love, Rosie | Film and Book Review

I've just finished reading 'Where Rainbows End' by Cecelia Ahern, and immediately had to watch the movie version, 'Love, Rosie'. The reason that I've decided to talk about them together, as opposed to only reviewing the book, is mainly because I didn't have enough to say about the book on its own to justify reviewing it. Alex (Sam Claflin) and Rosie (Lily Collins) have been best friends since childhood. But when they turn 18 and their paths start to diverge, they realise how much they need each other. I love the idea of this story. Whether in book or movie form, the idea of childhood best friends realising that they were always meant for each other is something that I'm really into. The book version of this story is written entirely of notes, emails, letters, instant messages and any other type of written media, and I loved this.
