Hey Guys x It's that time once again, the time when I tell you all the things that I've been loving this month. I feel like I haven't done one of these in ages! I love doing these posts because, if nothing else, it gives me a reason to watch new films and YouTube videos, so that I have something to show and tell you guys about! Anyway, let's get on with the favourites! Favourite Film: Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters So I have to admit, I only watched this film in the first place because it stars Jeremy Renner, who I'm kind of in love with, but I'm so glad I watched it because it's an amazing film! It plays on the fairy-tale version of Hansel and Gretel, but now it's 15 years after they were left in the forest and they're making a living as Witch Hunters! It's incredibly gory and is more like a horror film than a fairy-tale, but a thrilling watch that demands a sequel! Favourite TV Show: Family Guy (Season 13) I am a huge Family G...

How To | Unique Blog Header

Image
Hey Guys x When I changed up my blog design, a lot of you guys said that you wanted to see how I did it, so I thought I'd take some screenshots to show you exactly what I did, starting with my header! Now, because I blog on blogger and have not bought a domain name, I am using the blogger template, having said that, I still managed to customise it a bit so it looks exactly the way I want it to look. But I'll show you how I did my background in another post. However, my header was completely my own design, so I'll show you how I did that first! My Header Before I start, I did my header using a tutorial that I found on Abi's blog here ! But I'll break it down a bit more so that mine isn't completely the same, as some of the things that I did didn't come from Abi's post. I'm also not going to show my exact header design, I'll just make a sample one. First of all, you need to use the website ' PicMonkey ' (if you have a better o...

Book Review #39: Life With a Sprinkle Of Glitter by Louise Pentland

Image
Hey Guys x I can't believe this is my 40th book review! That's crazy! Anyway, if you've been reading my blog for a while, you'll know how much I love and am inspired by Louise Pentland, aka Sprinkle Of Glitter. So you'd have thought I would have bought this book as soon as it came out. However, as much as I'm on #TeamInternet, to buy all of their products you have to spend a lot of money! And I can't afford to spend bucket loads on them just because their YouTubers. But Louise's was always at the top of my list, until I read amazon reviews that said that you shouldn't buy it if you've over 14. So I didn't. Then I thought: I love Louise, her videos cater to an older audience, why wouldn't her book? So I took a chance and bought it - and I'm so happy I did! Anyway, the book is about Louise and her life, but more than that, it has a lot of advice and helpful suggestions. The four main sections are 'Glitz', 'Cr...

My 10 Favourite Films!

Image
Hey Guys Jack Howard made a video talking about his favourite films, and that immediately prompted me to make a list of my favourite films (or the top 10 anyway!) and I thought I'd share them with you. Jack's Video: I know that, as soon as I press publish, there will be a mass of movies that I haven't included that I love just as much, or maybe even more than the ones that I've included, as films 5-10 always change for me! In fact, I'll probably write a post called 'Films I Forgot' in a few weeks time! 10. Disney I know this technically isn't one film, but I couldn't pick just one Disney film to be in my top 10, and if I did more than one, this post would end up being my top 10 Disney movies, which is a post for another time! But you probably already know my love for Disney, so I won't express it again! 9. The Conjuring   This is a big contrast from Disney!! The Conjuring is without a doubt my favourite horror film, and it...

August Favourites! | 2015

Hey Guys x Once again, it's time for me to show you the things that I've been loving this month! As usual, let me know what you've been loving this month in the comments and I hope that some of my favourites for this month become your favourites for next month! Favourite Film: 21 Jump Street I am the last person to watch this film! I don't know why I didn't watch it sooner! Anyway, I watched this film for the first time this month and was really surprised by how funny it was! I'm a big Channing Tatum fan anyway, but this film also made me love Jonah Hill, and whoever's idea it was to pair them together... it completely worked! Favourite TV Show: Agent Carter This is MARVEL's latest TV series and focuses on the life of Peggy Carter (first seen in 'Captain America: The First Avenger') in the 1940s, balancing being a secret agent and a single woman in the '40s. It is an amazing show! Even if you have no knowledge of Peggy Carter (o...

Image
Hey Guys x First of all, sorry that I couldn't post yesterday, I was out all day and by the time I came home, it would have been too late to upload. I have now hit 30,000 views! 30,000. I actually can't believe it and it's hard for me to even picture that number, let alone relate it to my blog! I have reached a lot of blogging milestones this year and I just can't believe how far my blog has come in just a year and 4 months! And so much of that is down to you guys, the people who read my posts and comment your thoughts on them. If  you're reading right now, thank you, because obviously you've helped me reach this goal and I couldn't be more grateful. To be honest, I don't know if I'm even in the right frame of mind right now to be writing this post and I probably should have saved it for another day, but I wanted to write it as soon as possible, just to extend a massive thank you to you guys and to tell you how grateful I am that you ...

Book Review #38: Calm by Michael Acton Smith

Image
Hey Guys x This book was one of my first amazon purchases, and I wrote a post about it here . I've heard about this book on the internet and from various Youtubers, so when I saw it in my amazon recommendations, I thought I'd give it a try. This book is about exactly what it says in the cover: calm. There are various exercises helping the reader to have calm within their lives. It talks about the benefits of having some calm in your life, as well as mindfulness and meditation tips, as well as different activities that introduce calm into someone's life. I love this book! Honestly, I think it really illustrates how important it is to have a break from life once in a while, and why we should all have calm in our lives. Every page is really calming and has a different effect on the reader. It's also filled with lovely quotes that really put things into perspective. For me, it just makes me look at life in a different way. Like, there are s...
