100 Movies Bucket List 2024 | Reflections
Wow.
I can't believe I actually did it - and a lot sooner than I thought I would!
I finished watching all the movies in October and as great as finishing it felt, not having a set list of films to watch every day has kind of thrown me. It's been nice to be able to watch films just because I love them, but I have really missed watching all these new ones.
Completing this list has made this year a really great one for film.
I've seen so many amazing films. From the great first-time watches that I'd always been meaning to see (like 'The Shawshank Redemption' and 'The Dark Knight'), the great first-time watches I'd never heard of before (like 'Oldboy' and 'Léon: The Professional', the re-watches that I loved more this time around (like 'The Prestige' and 'Up') and some familiar all-time favourites (like 'Back to the Future' and 'Good Will Hunting') - there's been something different at every turn.
I have absolutely loved getting to explore all 100 of these films.
Even when I've not loved the films on the list, it's been great getting to actually see them all and form opinions on them, and so many of them are films that I probably wouldn't have seen otherwise.
I've included a picture of all the movies I've scratched off, and that's been the other fun part of the challenge. Getting to see which images from each film had been chosen to represent it - usually obscure ones that you wouldn't understand without seeing the film.
But just to wrap this up (because my one goal was to get all the movies done and the posts up before Blogmas!), I have loved doing this challenge and I'd love to do it again next year. I'd love to do it again every year until I've seen every classic movie ever made!
