Back to the Future | 100 Movies Bucket List

And number 100 in the 100 movies bucket list is the film that I personally believe is the best film ever made - Back to the Future!

I left this one until last because it's my favourite movie of all time and there was no way I wasn't ending the challenge with it.

I've probably seen this film and its sequels upwards of 100 times, so it's weird to sit down and actually write something about it when it's been a part of my life for as long as I can remember.

So I'm gonna start with the music and score, as this was the thing that stood out to me the most on this rewatch.

Now of course, if you've seen the movie and think about the music the first thing that comes to mind is probably 'The Power of Love' by Huey Lewis and the News, and that makes sense because it's an amazing song.

But the entire soundtrack and score are so iconic. Every sound in the film has a purpose and every song has become iconic (if they weren't already). It's clear how much the score was thought about because of the way it underscores the most important moments of the film.

And then there's the cast. Every single person starring in this movie was amazing, and it's so interesting to see them play variations of the same characters over the course of the three movies.

Of course I have to especially shout out Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd, who have been so important to me and an integral part of my life since before I can remember. Every time I watch any of the trilogy it just takes me straight back to my childhood and fills me with nostalgia.

There's so much I could say about this film but nothing I could say would truly capture how much the film means to me.

It's iconic, amazing, well directed/written/acted, it's perfect in every way and as I've already said, to me it's absolutely the best movie ever made. 

A perfect way to end the bucket list challenge.
