Hey Guys x I've owned this book for ages, but when it came to forming my reading list, I pushed it down because I wanted to get some of the tougher, less exciting reads out of the way. Hey Guys x Here's my review of the latest Netflix original movie. Apparently it got something like 30 million views in it's first three days, so I had to see what all the fuss was about. Nick (Adam Sandler) and Audrey Spitz (Jennifer Aniston) are a couple from New York who are flying to Europe when they meet Charles Cavendish (Luke Evans), a rich man who invites them on the trip of a lifetime - a vacation on his family's yacht. But when a gruesome murder takes place on the yacht, and the American couple are framed, they have to work out who the real murderer is, before it's too late. Hey Guys x I feel like the hype around this film really grew during its promotional season and the first couple of weeks that it was out, but after that everyone stopped talking about it and it basically fell off the face of the earth. A woman called Adelaide Wilson (Lupita Nyong'o) goes back to her childhood home many years after suffering a traumatic incident. Being back there brings up memories, causing Adelaide to fear for her family's safety. But is this all in Adelaide's head, or are the Wilson family truly in danger? However, I have no idea what cinema's are doing with it - in the first two weeks of it being out, I hadn't seen a showing before 8.30pm, which is really inconvenient and annoying, especially when most movies have multiple daily showings, so it was really hard to see it. Hey Guys x I remember hearing about this film months ago, but then I stopped hearing about it, and kind of forgot that it existed. When I saw it come on one of the Sky Cinema channels, I recognised the name and decided to watch it. The incident of an unarmed black man being shot dead by the police causes ripple effects within a neighbourhood in New York - particularly changing the lives of three individuals. The first thing that struck me about the film was the way that the first scene was shot. It's a scene of a man in a car. He is centre frame and the camera doesn't move, he is the complete main focus. Because of this, you're invested in his story before you even know who he is. This is just one of the reasons that you get engrossed in the movie so quickly. The two main characters that you meet first are such interesting, complex characters that you want to know how everything ends for them as soon as you meet them.
