3 Month Favourites | April - June 2026

This last three months have felt really long for some reason. When I was going over things to add to this post there was so much to choose from!


Favourite Movie (1): Obsession


I loved this movie. I reviewed it here and I really really loved it. I've only seen it once, so I hope I love it as much on second viewing, but it's definitely as good as everyone's saying it is!

Favourite Movie (2): Voicemails for Isabelle

This one came out on Netflix recently and I knew I would love it as soon as I read the description, so it's no surprise that it's here. I'll be reviewing it properly but I really loved it - definitely worth a watch if you're looking for a new romance movie!

Favourite Movie (3): You, Me & Tuscany
And the last one on the list that I still need to review. This is more rom-com than romance, and I had a really great time with it. I loved the leads, the story was great and it's a light easy watch. I definitely recommend it.

Favourite TV Show (1): The Bear

The last season came out last week and I have devoured it! When season 4 came out, because I didn't love season 3 I only ended up watching a couple of episodes. But that completely worked in my favour because I got to watch 4 and 5 back-to-back and I really loved both of them. Season 5 was such an amazing end to the show, I loved the development of the characters and I'm really sad that it's over. But there are definitely episodes in every season that I'll continue to re-watch.

Favourite TV Show (2): Half Man
I've been a fan of Richard Gadd's since Baby Reindeer, so I've kept track of what he's working on and I was really excited to see this show. Thankfully it was great, and ended up becoming an event show each time an episode came out, and with good reason. Check this one out if you liked Baby Reindeer!

Favourite Album: Broken by Desire to be Heavenly Sent

This is an album that I've been listening to a lot lately. The entire album is beautiful but there are a few songs that are just incredible. My favourites are 'Wish You the Best', 'Pointless', 'Heavenly State of Mind' and 'Any Kind of Life', but the entire album is worth a listen from beginning to end (and then on repeat!).

Favourite Actor (1): Will Poulter

I've been a fan of Will Poulter for a while, but he's here because I've really loved his character in the final season of The Bear. He's definitely the best non-original recurring character and one of my favourites overall. But because of that I've been watching or re-watching some of his other projects and seeing all over again just how talented he is, and how much of a fan I am!

Favourite Actor (2): Halle Bailey

I've already mentioned You, Me & Tuscany, and Bailey was absolutely the standout of the film and did such an amazing job with her character. After that, I ended up re-watching her Little Mermaid movie (which is so underrated), which she was also fantastic in, and I can't wait to see what she does next!

Favourite Book (1): Just for the Summer

I had heard such great things about this book before I got it, but because it was a romance I was a bit wary, because I rarely find romances I truly love. But this one is as good as everyone says it is! I fell in love with the characters, their story, and it's one that I've definitely thought about long after closing the book.

Favourite Book (2): Not Quite Dead Yet
I was iffy about this book at the start, but I loved the ending so much that I absolutely had to include it here. It really took me by surprise and changed my mind completely. I can't say enough about those final few chapters - it's worth reading for those alone!

After the death of her best friend, Eleanor (June Squibb) moves to New York. Desperate for community, she accidentally tells a lie that spirals out of control. I had been looking forward to seeing this film for such a long time. When I first saw the trailer I thought that it looked like such an interesting concept that could really pack a punch if it was done in the right way. I liked the film, but unfortunately it didn't pack the punch that I needed it to. It started in a great way. We get to know Eleanor really quickly, which is essential for a movie like this where we have to sympathise with her for it to work. The plot is genuinely insane, and I had a hard time working out whether or not it was in bad taste. I still don't really know, but an argument could definitely be made that it is. My 400th Post!

Hey Guys x Technically, my 400th post was my 'Guest Week' post, but still, I've hit 400 posts! This kind of took me by surprise, I just looked at my amount of posts one day and noticed that I was close to hitting a milestone. From 300 to 400, it feels like time has just flown by! I hit 300 posts in September, and it's weird to look back and see how my blog has changed! Earlier this month, I hit a bit of a creative slump, and I didn't really have anything to post about, and I didn't think that I would make it to 400! Mainly because, I'd rather not post at all than post something that I don't really care about, or something that just isn't good. And in that time, a part of me thought that I'd stop blogging. It wouldn't be a conscious decision, I'd just skip days, and then post less and less, and then I'd come back to my blog in the year 2020 and think 'oh yeah, I remember this!' Tales from the Hood | 100 Movies Bucket List

  I'd never heard of this film before seeing it on the bucket list, but I absolutely loved the premise so I was looking forward to watching it. I loved this movie. I loved that the film was broken down into distinct stories. Not only does it make the story as a whole easier to digest, but they're short stories that are allowed to be fleshed out without needing to know about the backstories of the characters. I love that the film uses horror to explain and explore a lot of poignant political issues. In fact, I think horror is the perfect genre mix with politics, and this is an example of how to do it right. But let's get into the individual stories. The first story completely caught me off guard. I didn't know what the individual stories would be about, and this one started from a place that was so timely and uncomfortable and political, and it really set a tone for the rest of the film. Blogging Milestones!

Hey Guys x I have hit a few blogging milestones in the past months. First of all, I hit 200 blog posts. I did a post on this here and how much this meant to me personally, as someone who never normally sticks with one specific hobby. Then, my views kept getting higher and higher. Currently, I have over 14,000 views, which is slightly overwhelming to fathom. My blog link has been clicked on and viewed over 14,000 times! Even seeing how many views my posts get after being uploaded for 24 hours is completely amazing and really makes me happy. Not only the fact that I have written about something that I am passionate about, but the fact that you guys seem to get passionate about the things that I am passionate about is amazing! And I love the fact that you enjoy reading my rambles and just spilling out whatever is in my head at whatever moments! So many of you guys have said that these are the posts of mine that you enjoy the most, so I will continue to ramble for a long time...

Hey Guys x It feels like I did my February Favourites post really recently, I can't believe a month has already passed! As I always say, I love doing these posts because I really enjoy getting together all of my favourite things so that I can share them with you guys. And this month, I have some amazing things to share! Favourite Movie: The Boy Next Door   If you haven't seen this, it's basically about a woman, who is considering getting back together with her ex husband (who she has a teenage son with), when she sleeps with a student. This turns out to be a big mistake as the student was not all he seemed. This is a really good film, if you haven't seen it, then seriously watch it. It's a thriller but it's just such an interesting film. Although, if you're looking for a light-hearted film, this is not it!
