Hey Guys x So, another Blumhouse movie for me to review! They've been putting out movies so consistently lately that it's so much fun to be a fan of them! Whether I love every single movie or not, they're absolutely my favourite production company, and if we remove the Marvel and DC extended universes, then the 'Conjuring' franchise is definitely my favourite cinematic universe! Hey Guys x I picked this book up on a whim. I had never really planned on buying it even though I loved the film, just because I didn't know if I'd actually read it. But while shopping one day, I saw it in Foyles, and decided to just pick it up. It's about a boy called Simon Spier who is a totally normal guy with a totally normal life. Except he's keeping a huge part of himself a secret from everyone he knows - he's gay. And the only person he can confide in is Blue, who he only knows through email. At first, anonymity works for them. But as Simon falls deeper and deeper for Blue, he decides that this is a part of his life that he doesn't want hidden. It's been getting so much press, and is already so popular, that I'm surprised at how many people haven't seen it yet! It's about a girl called Lara Jean Song Covey. When Lara Jean falls in love, with feelings so powerful that she can't contain them, she writes letters. To date, she has written 5, to boys including her sister's boyfriend/ex-boyfriend and her ex-best friend's boyfriend. Lara Jean goes through life being invisible, with not a lot of friends, but she's completely happy watching Golden Girls with her little sister Kitty on a Saturday night. Hey Guys x Finally I'm reviewing Deadpool 2! Sorry it's taken me so long, I ended up seeing it really late, but I loved the first one, and I love Ryan Reynolds, so of course I was excited to see this. Deadpool's back! Only this time, his mission is a selfless one. After meeting teenage mutant orphan, Russell, he takes pity on the angry boy and tries to protect him. However, when he discovers that Russell is being targeted by Cable, a genetically enhanced soldier from the future, Wade assembles a team of old and new heroes to destroy Cable once and for all. I loved this film! Of course, the main reason that I loved it was the humour. Ryan Reynolds outdid himself with some of the jokes this time around. The thing that is appealing about Deadpool to me is that nothing is off limits in terms of jokes - he was able to reference other Marvel movies, he could even reference DC. Hey Guys x I remember seeing the first adverts for this and really wanting to see it, mainly because I'm a huge fan of both Jeremy Renner and Ed Helms. They're both funny guys, so having them in the same film should be a recipe for hilarity! The film is about a group of friends who engage in a highly competitive, sometime-dangerous game of Tag every May. However, this year the rules have changed - the only undefeated player is getting married, and makes them all promise that they won't 'tag' him at any wedding-related events. Which means that their time is limited - making the game more competitive than ever! I somewhat enjoyed this film. First of all, it's based on a true story, which instantly made it really sweet and heartfelt to me. If this idea had just come to a screenwriter, they'd probably get laughed out of their pitch of the film.
