Ocean's Eleven | 100 Movies Bucket List

This is one of the films on the bucket list that I was saving because I love it so much. I was so happy to see it on the list because it definitely deserves to be considered a classic.

The best thing about this film, without a doubt, is the cast, who all need to be named. It stars George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Bernie Mac, Elliott Gould, Don Cheadle, Casey Affleck, Scott Caan, Eddie Jemison, Qin Shaobo, Carl Reiner and Julia Roberts, and they were all amazing in their roles.

The reason the film is as good as it is, is because of these actors and the way they work together. Plus I loved that the chemistry they created here was present for all three movies.

Especially because the characters have completely different chemistries with each other. It's so fun to see the different combinations of people interact, and we learn something new about them each time.

But another great thing about this film is the writing. The dialogue is so fun and quippy, and differs perfectly between each character. They all feel like authentic, real people, and that makes it really easy to root for them.

The pacing of the film is great. It spends a little while on the recruitment, allowing the audience to get to know each of the characters without forcing in a lot of exposition or other things we don't care about. So by the time we actually get to the heist, we are already engaged with the characters and can focus on the plot.

I loved the way the heist was written and set up. Even though there's no way this would actually work in the real world, it's created in such a realistic, unique way that you really feel like this could work. It makes you wonder how many extra precautions casinos had to add to ensure that no one actually tried this!

It was expertly directed, the actors were amazing and the plot was fun and exciting while also being somewhat realistic despite an unrealistic premise.

I absolutely love this film, and I'm so glad it was on the list. It definitely earns its 'classic' status!
