No Sleep 'Til Christmas | Blogmas Day 6

It's Blogmas Day 6!

When wedding stress stops Lizzie (Odette Annable) from sleeping, she tries everything to fall asleep. But when the trick to a restful night seems to be sleeping beside fellow insomniac Billy (Dave Annable), she begins to question her future.

I've been trying to stick to movies that came out in 2020 or later for Blogmas, so this one breaks that rule. This has been on my list every year and I've always replaced it with something that looked more interesting. But this year I decided to go for it.

And I'm glad I did because I loved this film. The best of Blogmas so far!

For a start, all of the characters leave you with a great first impression. I liked them all immediately and that like kept growing as the film went on.

The main characters had great chemistry and a really fun dynamic. I had no idea that they were played by a real couple until I started writing this review but it completely makes sense because they work so well together!

They're already my favourite Blogmas couple so far!

The concept itself is cute, and it's executed really well. The film does a good job of giving us both rom and com.

These are characters that you can really root for, you believe their chemistry and you feel the tension between them and around them.

I also loved that, whatever the outcome of the film was, none of the characters were villainised. They all began likeable and stayed likeable throughout.

My only gripe was that I wanted more of the main characters together after everything is resolved. I wanted to see more of them and I still do - I'd watch a whole other movie about them!

Overall I loved this movie, I loved this couple and I would definitely watch them in another movie, Christmas or not!
