My June Playlist!

Sorry I didn't post yesterday, revision completely filled my head! (2 exams to go!)
 
I did a playlist post for you about March, which you can see here!
 
Throughout April and May, I listened to the same music as I did in March, so there was no point doing a post about it.
 
However, during my exam period, I made a playlist on my iPod called 'Relax' which has a wide range of old and newer songs.
 
So I thought I'd do a playlist post on my 'Relax' playlist!
 
It has 75 songs on it though so I'm not going to go through all of them! I picked 11 that I think represent the rest of the playlist - and maybe I can show you more of the songs in another post!
 
1. Love Me Like You Do - Ellie Goulding
 
I have been obsessed with this song ever since I saw 'Fifty Shades Of Grey', but this month, I actually bought it from iTunes so that I could listen to it all the time, which I have been doing! I don't know what about it makes me love it, but I just think that it's got a really nice melody and really lovely lyrics!
 
 
2. Show Me Love (America) - The Wanted
 
I have loved The Wanted for years! However, when they split up, I kind of stopped listening to their music. Not completely, but I just listened to other things. However, recently, I've been listening to them again and this song was a definite for this playlist!
 
 
3. All Of Me - John Legend
 
This is such a nice, relaxing song! You've probably heard it because it was really big last year, but I still listen to it constantly because I love it so much! It is such a romantic song, so as a romance-oriented person, it says a lot to me.
 
 
4. Lay Me Down - Sam Smith ft John Legend
Yes, I am fully aware that this song was in my last playlist post, but this time, it's the version with John Legend, so I figured I could still put it in! The song is completely amazing with Sam on his own, but the addition of John Legend just makes the song even more amazing and their harmonies are just really on point!
 

 
5. Blank Space - Taylor Swift
 
 
I have been obsessed with this song lately! I have never been the biggest fan of Taylor Swift. However, the music that she's been bringing out lately has been amazing and I am slowly converting into a fan!
 

 
6. Happy Little Pill - Troye Sivan
 
 
I bought this song as soon as it came out because I really love Troye and completely support #TeamInternet. However, when I bought it, I never realised how much I would actually love it and listen to it. Especially for a relax playlist, this song was a must-have!
 
7. All About You - McFly
 
 
I have been obsessed with McFly for years, and I have always loved this song! But I loved it even more when I found out that Tom wrote it specifically for his then-girlfriend now-wife Giovanna, as I just thought it was the most romantic thing in the world!

 
8. Photograph - Ed Sheeran
 
 
This song has been one of my favourites from Ed's album 'X' for a long time, so I was ecstatic when I heard that he was actually releasing the song as a single! If you haven't heard this song before, listen to it now, the lyrics in particular. It's a beautiful song!
 

 
9. I Won't Let You Go - James Morrison
 
 
I have been a fan of James Morrison for a while, mainly because he just has the most beautiful voice! This song is quite underrated, as is James Morrison himself, but the lyrics and the melody are just beautiful!
 

 
10. Home - Michael Buble
 
 
This is quite an old song, but Michael Buble had been a guilty pleasure of mine for a really long time! This song is one that I have loved for years, but I only listened to it again recently for the first time in ages, reminding me how much I love it!
 


 
11. Beautiful Life - Union J
 
Union J are another of the boy bands that I have loved in the past and their music is still a big part of my life. This song in particular is one that I have loved for a long time!

    I know what you mean about 'Love Me Like You Do' I can't seem to get tired of it and every time I sing along to it I feel the emotions the song portrays haha, I like that kind of music that can really make you feel it. Love the playlist!

When ex-UFC fighter Dalton (Jake Gyllenhaal) takes a job as a bouncer at a roadhouse, he soon finds that his past is quickly catching up to him. I've never seen the original Road House, and when I put this one on I wasn't really planning to review it, but I found myself really getting into it. I liked this a lot more than I thought I would. Both the characters and the story were a lot more engaging and compelling than I thought they would be. The story sucked me in right from the beginning and I was interested the whole way through. The cast is great, but Jake Gyllenhaal completely carries the film and plays the character of Dalton really well. Again, I can't compare his performance to the original, but I really like the character. The fight scenes, which are pretty much what the film is about, are done really well. Wonka | Film Review

Young Willy Wonka (Timothée Chalamet) tries to follow his dreams to become a respected chocolatier, despite opposition at every turn . This film was never particularly high on my 'to-watch' list, but it was always on my radar, so I'm glad I've finally seen it. I liked this movie a lot more than I thought I would, but I still definitely had problems with it! For a start, while I love the fact that it was a musical, I didn't actually like any of the actual songs. None of them really stood out (except the one that's already known) and having only seen the film yesterday, I can't remember any of them. In fact, while the songs didn't hurt the film, I also don't feel like they were completely necessary. I would have liked the film the same amount if it hadn't been a musical. Wonka is a really charming character, and Chalamet plays him really well. In fact, the entire cast is great - definitely the best thing about the film by a mile. The relationship b

Scarface (1983) | 100 Movies Bucket List

Next up for the Bucket List was another first-time watch! I'd seen the original 1932 film years ago and really liked it, but I never got around to watching this (undoubtedly more popular) version, so I'm glad it was on the list. I really really liked this movie. I'm not sure if I like it more than, or the same as the original, but I definitely had a great time with it. One thing about finally seeing all these classic movies is seeing how much impact they've had on pop culture, and this film is definitely no exception. It's so quotable, there are so many iconic images, and it's one that everyone should watch if they haven't seen it before. The most talked-about aspect of this film is probably the violence, and that's so interesting to see. Not only the way it's spoken about, but also the difference between violence in older films like this and newer releases. My Problem With '8 Simple Rules'

Hey Guys x Today's post might come out as more of a rant, which I'm OK with because I haven't ranted about something in a while! Last year, I started watching the show '8 Simple Rules' when it started playing on Comedy Central. It originally came on between 2002 and 2005 but I didn't watch it when it was first on. Anyway, I really got into it. There were only three seasons, so it was over before I wanted it to be. And I loved this show, and I still love it. Comedy Central doesn't play it anymore but if it did I would dive right back into it because I love a good sitcom. However, I have a major gripe with a plotline of the show, that got more prominent in season 2/3. Let me just explain the characters a bit, so you know who I'm taking about in case you never watched it. American Psycho | 100 Movies Bucket List

This one was a re-watch. I'd seen this film once before watching it for the Bucket List. My memories of it weren't wholly positive - I didn't love the first watch, and while I didn't hate it, it wasn't a film that I was itching to watch again. Though saying that, I knew that I probably would watch it again eventually, because I knew how much of a classic it was. Like a lot of films I've watched for the Bucket List, I liked it more this time around than I did the first time, though I still didn't love it as much as I wanted to. But that being said, I did really enjoy it. The writing was great and Christian Bale was amazing in the role, as were the supporting actors. For me, though, the most iconic thing about this movie is its soundtrack. The songs used are amazing and fit the movie so well.
