3 Month Favourites | April - June 2025

 I can't believe we're already into summer - it feels like ages since my last Favourites post!

Favourite Film (1): Final Destination: Bloodlines

I was having trouble deciding which film to put first between this one and the next on the list. Ultimately while I enjoyed both films equally, I had a bit more fun with this one than the other, just because I came into the film already so invested in the world. I reviewed the film HERE - I really loved it and thought it was a great addition to the franchise. Hopefully there will be more to come!

Favourite Film (2): Sinners

I reviewed this film HERE, and made no secret of the fact that I loved it. I've since seen it a couple more times since my first viewing and each watch is as good as the first. Definitely worth a watch if you haven't seen it!

Favourite Film (3): Freaky Tales

I'm reviewing this one so I won't say too much here, but this film was so unexpectedly great! I had no idea what it was about going in, but I decided to watch it on a whim and I really really loved it!

Favourite TV Show (1): The Bear

I'd been meaning to start this show for such a long time, and hearing that season 4 was about to come out seemed like the perfect time. I was unsure at first, but by the end of the third episode I completely fell in love with the show. I'm currently on season 2, so I've got a while to go before I'm up to date, but I'm really enjoying it. I love the characters, I love the story and (more on this later) I love the cast! I'm so glad I finally started it!

Favourite TV Show (2): Daredevil

I started watching this show when it first came out years ago and for some reason i just couldn't get into it. I loved Jessica Jones and the Defenders, but that was as far as I went with the Marvel Netflix shows. A few years ago I watched the first season of Luke Cage and really liked that, but I had no desire to see anything else. Well, I watched a few films starring Jon Bernthal, and after seeing his most popular role was The Punisher, I really wanted to watch it. But to watch it properly, I had to see his introduction in Daredevil season 2. And that was such an amazing season that it pulled me right back into the Marvel Netflix world. I kept watching and loved season 3 too, and I've just started watching the new show Daredevil Born Again, which is also shaping up to be really great.

Favourite TV Show (3): The Punisher

This one isn't a surprise. Frank Castle was the best part of Daredevil season 2, so I was really excited to see him on his own. I loved both seasons of the show, and I really love that he's appearing again in Born Again, a Punisher special and the next Spider-Man movie!

Favourite Actor: The Bear Cast

I've been consuming a lot of content featuring the actors from The Bear, and it's been so much fun. Not only do the actors all bring something unique and amazing to their characters in the show, but from what I've seen of them outside the show, they're all just amazing actors in general. It's been so much fun discovering them in other things and I can't wait to continue doing so!

Favourite Book: The Twilight saga

After re-watching the first Twilight movie for my movie bucket list, I decided to pause my current reading list to re-read the four books in the Twilight saga, because I hadn't read them in a really long time but I'd always loved them. I'm currently nearing the end of New Moon and it's been so much fun to dive back into this world!

And those are my 3 month favourites! There aren't as many as usual but these things, particularly the shows and books are how I've been spending the majority of the last month and it's been great!
