Schindler's List | 100 Movies Bucket List

Next up for the bucket list was a first time watch.

I'd heard of this film before but I'd never really looked into what it was about or had any desire to watch it.

It was one of the most intimidating ones on the list, which is probably why I didn't watch it sooner. But once I knew what it was about I was really interested in it.

And thankfully, it wasn't as intimidating as I thought it would be.

The story is an incredible one, and I didn't know it was true until I was sitting down to watch the film.

Everything about it is really well done - the direction, the writing, the acting, not only does it feel authentic, but it feels like everyone involved was really passionate about the story.

It was really thought-provoking to watch this after seeing 'The Pianist' and looking at two stories set in similar times and circumstances through different points of view.

It's not an easy watch, but it's definitely worth seeing. I'm really glad it was on the list because I might not have watched it otherwise.

Next up was a highly anticipated re-watch! This is one of the films on the bucket list that I waited to watch because I love it so much and didn't want to complete it too quickly. This is one of my absolute favourite horror movies, and for very good reason - it's probably the most iconic horror movie to ever exist! Dr Strangelove | 100 Movies Bucket List

My next watch for the Bucket List was another first-timer! I had never really heard of this film before seeing it on the list, I had no idea what it was about, and the only thing about it that appealed to me was the short runtime.  I kind of knew immediately that this wouldn't be one I'd particularly enjoy. While there are things about it to appreciate, like the cinematography, the originality and the acting, for my personal tastes it just wasn't something I vibed with. My favourite thing about this bucket list challenge is getting to experience films that I otherwise never would have watched, and this is definitely one of those. Because there are so many genres that I never really think about watching unless they're nominated in the current Oscars cycle, so it's been really nice to experience watching a whole bunch of films that never would have crossed my path otherwise. His Three Daughters | Film Review

  Estranged sisters Katie (Carrie Coon), Christina (Elizabeth Olsen) and Rachel (Natasha Lyonne) reunite to care for their dying father. I was looking forward to this film when I first heard about it. The premise seemed interesting and I'm a fan of the actors involved so I knew at the very least I'd like it. And while I did like it, I had kind of hoped I would love it, but my feelings about it ended up being quite neutral. One thing I did love was the dialogue. It was written so well and felt like a play, and after reading that it was a loose reimagining of King Lear (my favourite Shakespeare play), that made sense. The screenplay for this film is great! With this, it's worth noting that the film is very dialogue-heavy and takes place in pretty much one location, so if that's not your thing, you probably won't love this one. Louise Pentland Inspires Me

I have wanted to write this post for so long! I'm so glad to finally be writing it! But first of all, let me just apologise for not posting last night, due to an array of factors that left me feeling a bit shitty. Anyway, back to Louise. I first watched Louise after seeing her with her best friend Zoe (aka Zoella) and I didn't instantly love her. She seemed so bubbly and confident, and just so different from me. So I wasn't sure about her, but I still decided to watch some of her videos and give her a chance. I then fell in love with her after watching her 'Draw My Life' For me, when I am watching YouTubers, I am 100% fully aware that I am a viewer who knows nothing about them, which is why I don't really judge them.
