Hey Guys x

So I saw this yesterday, which is the first time that I've seen a movie of this scale in the opening weekend. I am such a huge Marvel and MCU fan, so I had been waiting for this movie for such a long time!

A few years after the events of the last MCU movies, all of the superheroes have to come together to take on the most powerful villain that they've ever encountered - Thanos. With one infinity stone under his belt, Thanos is on a mission to find the other five, taking them by whatever means necessary. The fate of the planet, the universe and the entirety of existence rests in the hands of our favourite heroes. But can they stop Thanos from acquiring all 6? And will all of the heroes survive through their most dangerous mission yet?

This whole world, created from the first Iron Man movie 10 years ago, is nothing short of a masterpiece. And this film is certainly no exception.

With a film of this size, incorporating so many cast members, it seems like it might get confusing or claustrophobic. But the stories of each of these heroes are handled so well! If you're familiar with the world then it's so easy to watch and understand.

Speaking of which, familiarity is something that you definitely need. It'll be really hard for someone who hasn't seen many of the MCU movies to go in and completely understand everything that's going on - particularly the preceding Avengers movies, the three Captain America movies, Guardians of the Galaxy, Thor: Ragnarok and Black Panther. Without seeing them, some parts of the film will probably be a bit hard to follow.

But if you're a fan, then there's absolutely nothing to worry about in terms of following the story, everything is coherent, it follows in a fashion that makes sense, and every hero gets a grand, spine-tingling entrance.

The acting in this movie is superb, which makes sense as some of the greatest actors in the world right now are in this movie, doing everything they can to make sure that it's as good as possible, and it really shows. Robert Downey Jr. and Tom Holland have been called out as particular stand-outs and I have to agree. In THAT scene, they were extraordinary.

And I have to quickly mention the ending scene that everyone is cryptically talking about. Now, I personally expected something similar to what happened because of the way that everyone was talking about it. So it was slightly underwhelming through the initial watch. However, when you stop focusing on the screen and actually think about what this means for the movie and the heroes, and how the next film will combat this, then it becomes so impactful and tear-inducing. And I can say that it does end on a cliffhanger, but to be honest, I'd be upset if it didn't!

So overall, go and see this film! It's amazing in every sense of the word and I just want to watch it over and over and over again!

Lou
