This is supposed to be a short favourites post, as I'll be uploading a 2023 favourites post tomorrow, but I didn't know how many things I'd have to talk about in this one, so it definitely won't be short!
Favourite Film (1): Saltburn
This is one of a couple of films I'm mentioning in this post that I'll be reviewing in the new year, so I won't say much about it now, but I absolutely loved it! It wasn't what I expected at all and that just made me love it more.
Favourite Movie (2): Quiz Lady
This is another that I'll be reviewing in the new year, but I was so surprised that no one has been talking about it because it's so good! Definitely check it out on hulu/Disney+!
Favourite Movie (3): Killers of the Flower Moon
I reviewed this movie HERE and made no secret of the fact that I think it's a really good movie. It definitely deserves the awards probably coming its way, and is worth a watch even if you don't think it'll be your kind of thing.
Favourite Movie (4): Joy Ride
And another I'll be reviewing in 2024! I knew I'd like this from the premise and the poster, so I'm really glad it was as good as I thought it would be.
Favourite TV Show (1): Doogie Kamealoha
I've mentioned this show in another favourites post this year, but I finished it last month and am really sad about it! I didn't know it was cancelled when I got to season 2, and it's such a shame as the show really hit its stride in the second season.
Favourite TV Show (2): Neighbours
I used to watch Neighbours religiously when I was younger, and as I got older tuned in for some years and then out for others. When the new version started, I hadn't watched it in maybe 3 years, but I watched the first episode out of curiosity and 50+ episodes later, I'm hooked again! It's become a firm part of my after-work routine and I love it.
Favourite TV Show (3): It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia
I mentioned this in my last favourites post, but I'm mentioning it again because I finished the season last week and it was the best yet! I have no idea how this show manages to keep getting better and better but it really does!
Favourite Song: Breathe (In The Heights)
I watched 'In The Heights' for the first time a couple of months ago, and while I didn't love the movie (and probably need to watch it again), I absolutely fell in love with this song! In the context of the film it's really powerful and meaningful, but even on its own, it's so beautiful.
Favourite Game: GTA VI
Yes, I know it's not out yet and won't be out for a year, but I am so excited to play this game! I love GTA V and will definitely be playing it over again in anticipation for the next one!
Favourite Actor: Charlie Hunnam
It's really weird that as soon as I was getting back into Sons of Anarchy (for what feels like the hundredth time), Rebel Moon came out. I didn't include it in this post, but I liked the film, and Charlie was great in it. But between Sons, Rebel Moon and the press interviews for Rebel Moon, I've seen so much of Charlie this month, so he had to be here.
Favourite Book: The Love Hypothesis
If you told me at the beginning of the year that I would include this book in a favourites post, I would have laughed. Last year I went through a stage of not liking romance books. Well, this year has kind of been the opposite. I've read some really good romances, and this is at the top of that pile. I absolutely loved it and really want to read more books by Ali Hazelwood!

Technically the '100 Movies' in the Bucket List are really 106, because there are a couple of squares that contain trilogies that only count as one movie. This is one of them. I watched all the Star Wars movies a few years ago, and while I've re-watched the sequel trilogy quite a few times, I only watched the original trilogy once, so I was really glad I got to watch them again for this. I also watched them all in one day, back-to-back, so some of them definitely run into each other in my mind! I absolutely love these movies. Each one brings something different (but equally iconic) to the world of sci-fi, they're all classics in their own right, and they're genuinely really fun movies. The cast are amazing - Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill became household names off the back of these movies and with good reason, because they played these roles amazingly, and the characters are some of the most well-known and popular in the world. Looking for a fresh start, Jamie (Margaret Qualley) and Marian (Geraldine Viswanathan) take a road trip, unaware that their rented car contains an important package that a group of criminals will do anything to find. I remember seeing the trailer for this film a couple of months ago at the cinema, and while I wasn't itching to see it, it looked light and fun, so it was definitely on my radar. I loved this movie! It was so much better than I was expecting it to be! For a start, I loved the characters from their first seconds on screen. The main actresses have great chemistry and it's so fun watching them together. Not only did I enjoy the acting and the way the characters were written, but the dialogue was brilliant. You really enjoy just watching these people interact regardless of the situation they're in. A lot of the cast was unexpected, and I loved that. When Cassie Webb (Dakota Johnson) starts to have visions of the future, she sets out to protect three teenage girls from a mysterious assailant. This movie has become a bit of a joke on the internet, supposedly for how bad it is. It wasn't really on my radar at all, and I wasn't planning to watch it until I saw all the negative reviews. But I had to know if it was as bad as everyone said! Surprisingly (to me), I didn't hate this film. It's not good, but it also wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. However, I will say that for the first 30 minutes, it was bad. I had absolutely no idea what was going on, what the film was about, or where it would be going. But once the three girls were introduced, I started to really get into it. I loved the idea of these girls being connected because of their futures, and I liked the way this was discovered. Cassie's visions were quite jarring at first, but the more they happened, the more it worked for me. The writing
This was a first-time watch, and I had no idea what it was about. It was a bit surprising to me that there weren't a lot of comedies on the Bucket List, but then thinking about it more, comedies, romances and horrors are probably the least-valued genres in terms of critical acclaim, which is really unfortunate because there are some incredible movies in those categories. But because of that, I was really happy to see a comedy on the list, especially one that's widely known as being 'one of the 10 funniest movies ever made' according to the Paramount Plus description. So I had somewhat high hopes for it! I enjoyed the movie a lot. The film was released in 1980, and while the humour works for that time period, I really believe it works for a modern audience too. Doris (Nico Parker) spends her time helping her mother (Laura Linney) take care of her brother (Cree Kawa). Growing resentful, she begins to rebel, and strikes up a friendship with an activist (Woody Harrelson) protesting a landmark medical case. I didn't know anything about this film before watching it. All I knew was that it was new, and I like all three of the main actors, and that was enough for me to watch it! I really really liked this movie. The audience is able to take an instant liking to Doris because we take an almost instant disliking to her mother. Or at least, I did! The actors are the strongest thing about the movie, and they are all amazing in their roles. Linney and Harrelson are great in everything, so that wasn't really a surprise, but Nico Parker absolutely carried the film and did such a good job with it. Before this I had only seen her in 'The Last of Us', so now I'm a huge fan! Doris is such a sweet, interesting character. One of the reasons
