March Favourites! | 2017

Image
Hey Guys x I'm really sorry that I haven't posted a lot this month! It's been really busy trying to get everything done before I broke up from uni. And April probably won't be any better, because I'll be writing essay after essay trying to finish everything! However, I always make time for a 'Favourites' post, mainly because I love doing them. I find them so interesting to write and to read. Anyway, let's get on with the post! Favourite Movie: Get Out WOW. I think I'm gonna do a full post on this within the next week or so, so I really don't want to say too much about it now. However, by next week, I'll have seen it three times with three different people, which tells you how much I loved it! Seriously, go and watch this if you haven't! Favourite TV Show: 90210 My sister and I recently got back into this show, and I'm so happy! I used to watch it when it first came on, but kind of fell out of it as the seasons went

50 Questions I've Never Been Asked!

Image
Hey Guys x I haven't done a tag in such a long time! So I thought I'd do one for you guys today! I found one here  on the blog 'Mama's Losin' It' - check it out! These questions were really interesting, so I thought that I'd get stuck in! 50 Questions What's Your Favourite Candle Scent? I don't have a specific favourite, anything sweet and light. I hate heavy, dusky scents! What Female Celebrity Do You Wish Was Your Sister? Right now I have three (I'll probably think of more later!), Blake Lively, Emily Blunt and Kat Graham, for different reasons. Blake bakes, and apparently she bakes really well. If she was my sister, we'd hang out and bake and shop all the time! Plus I'd hopefully get her slim genes! Emily Blunt just looks like the most fun person to hang out with, ever! In fact, I wish she was my best friend because we'd have so much fun! Kat Graham is so talented. She's an amazing actress, an amazing dancer,

Everything Happens For a Reason?

Image
Hey Guys x If you haven't seen this movie, I'll give it a little bit of an explanation, but you really should watch it, it's amazing! Anyway, the main premise of the movie is that there are people who control our 'fate'. They have us all on a specific plan and do their best to keep us on route, such as making us spill coffee on our shirt so that we're 5 minutes late for work, or making someone call us at the exact moment they do. I really liked the idea of this. When I was watching the film the other day, I got to thinking about what that would mean if it was real, and how much I'd like to know about it. I think that anyone who's ever said 'Everything happens for a reason' believes in this in some form, whether it's being done by a holy figure or not, they believe that everyone's life has a plan. I think I believe that too, to an extent. Like, if I just miss a bus or something, I always think that 'well, I obv

Schrödinger's Thoughts

Image
Hey Guys x This is the most random thought! I had it on the bus last week and immediately made a note of it because I thought it would be an interesting thing to address and think about. Do you know the theory of Schrödinger's cat? If not, here's an extremely simplified version. If you put a cat and a vial of poison in a sealed box, and don't check it, there's no way to know if the cat is alive or dead. Because of this, until the box is opened, the cat is seen as both alive and dead. I thought about this in relation to my anxiety. One of the things that makes me anxious is thinking that people secretly dislike me or are saying bad things about me behind my back, or even in their heads, and it really makes me feel awful to think like that. Until this thought popped into my head. I'm obviously not a mind reader. Because of this, if that person is not someone close to me, I'll NEVER be able to know what they're thinking about me, unless

ANNOUNCEMENT // No Answer

Image
Hey Guys x I've been wanting to announce this for weeks, but I wanted to wait until it was completely done before I got anyone excited for no reason. But, I can finally announce that I... Bria Lou, aspiring director, writer and filmmaker, Have WRITTEN AND DIRECTED A SHORT FILM!!!!!!!!!! I made a short film!! I can't say that enough times, you should see the smile on my face right now! It's on YouTube, and I'd really love you all to watch it and tell me what you think! Obviously I'm not the more proficient filmmaker in the world. After all, this is only my first. But I am so proud of it! I have to give a huge thanks to the actress in the movie, Kate Ovenden. You can find her contact information in the description of the video, but she was amazing, and the loveliest person in the world! I'd love to work with her again! I also have to give a HUGE thank you to my friend and the cinematographer on the movie Karen, who has been amazing throughou

Not Being Passionate

Image
Hey Guys x Today I want to talk about not being passionate. It's something that's been playing on my mind recently and I thought I should try and organise my thoughts enough to be able to write a post on it. I'm not really passionate about things. Like, I get passionate in short bursts. Particularly about people, I get very passionate (some might say obsessed) about actors, but that's an ongoing thing. I'm never not obsessed with an actor (in my current case, three at once!) But in terms of things in my life, I don't really get passionate. I was passionate about writing, for a long time. I still am in a way. But criticism and negativity and time have just completely knocked me down, to the point where I don't really know if it's what I want anymore. I mean, I love writing. I love writing on wattpad, it is something that I'm constantly passionate about. I love writing my blog, I love planning little stories, getting a quarter through

Promoting My 2015 Posts!

Image
Hey Guys x I said I was going to do this every Sunday, but then the Oscars came around and that was definitely my priority! However, I'm back on it now, promoting more of my old posts that you probably never got a chance to see! I've picked my favourites, and the ones that I had the most fun writing, so I hope you enjoy reading these old posts! 2015 Posts 'Adventures in Winter Wonderland' This is mostly a picture post, but just looking back at these pictures makes me really nostalgic and happy. But also, some of the pictures are actually taken really well! As I said in the post, I didn't take any, but one of my friends definitely has a hidden photography skill that I don't know about! 'Louise Pentland Inspires Me' This is my second most-viewed post ever! So to be honest, the only reason I'm promoting it is because it's a post that I still hold so dear and close to my heart. Louise still does mean a lot to me,
