March Favourites! | 2016

Image
Hey Guys x I can't believe it's time for another 'Favourites' post, it feels like only last week I wrote the last one! Anyway, as usual, I'll be showing you some of my favourite things this month - I hope that some of my favourites can become your favourites too! Favourite Movie 1: The Proposal I can't believe it's taken me so long to see this film! I'd heard good things about it, but only watched it myself this week! For a rom-com, I was surprised at how much 'com' there actually was. Both of these characters are hilarious, and it was the smallest, most insignificant things that had me rolling on the floor with laughter. Definitely check out this film if you haven't already seen it! After I write this post, I'm definitely going to watch it again! Favourite Movie 2: Deadpool Since May last year, I've been really into superhero movies, particularly Marvel movies, so when this came out, I was really excited to see it, espe

My Coffee Table Essentials!

Image
Hey Guys x I was recently contacted by a company called ' Chairish ' who buy and sell vintage furniture. They asked me if I'd like to write a post about some of my 'coffee table essentials' using one of their own coffee tables as inspiration, and of course I said yes because, not only is this type of post very 'me' anyway, but their tables are completely gorgeous! I choose the 'Octagon Brass Coffee Table'    because it's so unique and completely beautiful! I don't live with any small children, so the idea of having a glass coffee table is really nice and the table itself is so sophisticated. Below is how I'd style my table: Let's start with the bottom left: Books! I'd stick with the book that you're currently reading, but you can always have multiple books! I couldn't have a coffee table without having at least one book, let alone a couple! Next up, the scented candle! When it's not lit, it's

Guest Week!

Image
Hey Guys x I had this idea a while ago and am finally doing something about it! I have called this 'Guest Week'. I want to have a group of bloggers (as many as possible) do guest posts for my blog. I use the term 'week' loosely because I might have more than 7 of you involved, but I thought that this would be a really good way to promote your blogs and also for me to get some amazing content for my own blog! So, before anything else, I need to give you some basic information and answer any questions that you may have! What date do you want it for?  I know that, with blogging, there are unforeseen circumstances. However, I'd like to have the first post uploaded for the 11th April , and all other posts following that date every day until I've uploaded all of them. What should it be about?  Originally, it was 'a topic of your choice', but I know how annoying it is to just be told 'write anything' on a blog that isn't yours - so I&

Living In London | Collab with Abi Kelly!

Image
Hey Guys x Today’s post is a collaboration with Abi Kelly, whose blog is completely amazing! You can view it here ! She’s doing collab month, and so far it’s been completely amazing and I’ve loved seeing both sides of her collabs. I’m her last collab of the month, so I really hope I’ve done her proud with this post! We found out that we both live in London, which is a great coincidence, so when talking about what to collab about, London seemed like the obvious answer! So I’m writing about what it’s like to live in London, as someone who’s lived there my entire life. I hope you enjoy this! London, for tourists, is amazing. The fast-paced city life and the ample crowds must seem unusual and exciting. London, for me, who has always lived here, is confusing. Nothing is ever the same, and everything changes just when I got used to it being the way that it was. Not to say that this is strictly a bad thing, but as someone who isn’t really that fond of change, it’s

The Boy | Film Review

Image
Hey Guys x I love a good horror movie! So as soon as I heard about this and watched the trailer, I was itching to go and see it! I watched it on Wednesday, and as soon as I came out of the cinema, I wanted to write this post. But before writing it, I did a bit of research and read an interview with the author just to make sure that I understood everything that happened. It's about a woman called Greta from the USA who takes a job as a nanny (live-in babysitter) in the UK. When she meets the family that she is babysitting for, she discovers that she has been hired to babysit a doll, called Brahms. At first, she's freaked out, but the pay is good and, she figures that, looking after a doll is the same as being paid to do nothing, so she agrees. She's given rules by the couple (such as: don't cover his face, don't leave him alone, kiss him goodnight), which she ignores at first because, he's a doll right? Then Greta meets Malcolm, the grocery boy, w

Making Friends?

Image
Hey Guys x Since starting uni last year, this is the most popular question that people ask me - from aunts and uncles to friends who I don't see as much any more. Are you making lots of friends? I always say 'yes, of course', especially when I'm speaking to older relatives, because they don't really care about the answer, it's just an automatic question. But to be honest, my main goal in life is not to have hundreds of friends. In fact, I'd rather not have hundreds of friends. I'm the kind of person that just needs a few close friends. I'd love to have that one best friend that I do everything with and is basically like my twin, but right now, it's OK that I don't have that, it's not a big concern. I think having loads of friends is really overrated. Like on Facebook. You can have hundreds of Facebook friends, but you're only really close to, like, 10 of them. And I think, with a few exceptions, this is the same in

My Top 10 Movie Sequels!

Image
Hey Guys x As you may or may not know, throughout the last year and a bit, film has been something that I feel really passionate about, and I've been watching as many films as possible! So, for today's post, I thought I'd let you in on some of my favourite sequels. People tend to say that the original is always the best and that sequels tend to ruin the story - and this is true in many cases. However, I've picked 10 sequels that I think, not only make their franchise better, but in some cases, are better than the original movies! This list mainly consists of Marvel, horror and Disney movies, so they might not be your cup of tea, but I love them all! For each film, I'll say whether or not you can watch it without watching the first movies, because that's really important for me when it comes to sequels! Also, my descriptions will probably contain spoilers from the first movies, so if you haven't seen them, but you want to - avoid reading my desc

An Interview With Vicky Wright!

Image
Hey Guys x If you've not been reading my blog for a long time, then you might not know that I used to do interviews with bloggers! I don't know why I stopped doing them. It's really embarrassing, but I've had this interview with Vicky sitting in my inbox since May last year!  I'm so sorry that I haven't uploaded it yet Vicky! But Vicky has an amazing blog that you can view here ! Definitely check it out because it's amazing! I copied this straight from my emails, which is why there's a white box around the text. Just ignore it! Anyway, let's get on with the interview! Introduce yourself to my readers in less than 5 words: Tea, Cake, Disney, Music, Happy What is your favourite song to listen to whilst blogging? This is tough because I listen to so many songs! My two favourite albums to listen to whilst writing are 'Chaos and the Calm' by James Bay and 'The Balcony' by Catfish and the Bottlemen and my

My Life In 20 Questions!

Image
Hey Guys x It's time for another tag! I saw this floating around on the internet and I really liked it. There are a few versions with slightly different questions, so I'm going to mix and match a bit and choose my favourite! Feel free to do this tag on your own blog and comment your link in the comments - I'd love to read it! 1) What's your favourite colour? I never know whether silver counts as a colour or not! If it does, then it's definitely silver. If not, I quite like grey (which is basically a dull silver!) in terms of clothing. But to be honest, I don't really have a favourite colour that I feel that strongly about! 2) What's your favourite number? 12, without a doubt, because I was born on the 12th of the 12th (aka, December 12th) 3) What is your dream career? Some of you guys probably know this already, but to be an author would be the ultimate dream! Honestly, I can think of nothing I want more than to have my own words on my book
