The Book Tag!

Hey Guys x

I was tagged by the amazing Chloe to do this tag, as she knows how much I love books!

You can check out her post here!

Anyway, let me get on with the tag because I could talk about books for ages!

The Book Tag!

Favourite book?
I hate playing favourites with my books, however, I have three books that I have described as my favourites before, that I love so much! They are: 'Boys Don't Cry' by Malorie Blackman, 'Nobody's Girl' by Sarra Manning and 'Ten Things We Shouldn't Have Done' by Sarah Mlynowski. I love them all for different reasons, but they are all amazing books!

Favourite Author?
I have a few favourite authors, but for me, if I can fall in love with more than one of your books. So as of right now, my favourite is Giovanna Fletcher. I am in love with her first three books, and her fourth is coming out really soon, and I can't wait to read 'Dream a Little Dream'!

What Genre Do You Prefer?
I am a big lover of romance, as many of you probably know. However, I think my most-read genre is 'chick-lit', which is also a bit romantic depending on the book, but yeah. For those who don't know, the definition of 'Chick-lit' is literature that appeals to young women. I don't know about that, but it certainly appeals to me!

What Is Your Favourite Book Series or Trilogy?
My favourite is definitely between Harry Potter and Twilight. I love them both for different reasons, but the one thing that I like is the fantasy element!

What Book Did You Hate Reading At School?
The Hound Of The Baskervilles. I didn't get it and reading it just felt like a blur. I think that if I read it now, I'd probably like it though!

What Is One Of The First Books You Remember Reading?
When I was younger, I had an obsession with Jaqueline Wilson and would read all of her books! The first one that I remember reading was 'The Illustrated Mum', but I can't remember anything about it!

Bookstores of Libraries?
Bookstores without a doubt! I love the idea of looking through the books and knowing that I have the opportunity to own any of them! And to be honest, I love spending money on books, more so than anything else anyway!

How Many Books Do You Own?

This is a picture of some of the books that I own. I counted them today and I think I have about 130 here, so adding this with the rest of the books that I own, I probably have about 200, which is crazy to think about!

Do You Read Before You Go To Bed?
Um, sometimes but not often. I prefer to read in the daytime with the natural light rather than with artificial lights. Plus before bed is when I catch up on YouTube videos!

Most Comfortable Reading Position?
Sitting up with my legs crossed or lying on the sofa, but I never really think about it!

Most Recent Book You Read?
Wonder by R.J. Palacio. It's an incredibly amazing book that really makes you think about your own life and the way that you treat people. I love this book a lot!

What Is One Quote From A Book That You Love?
'When given the choice between being right or being kind, choose kind' from the book Wonder. Since reading it, I've definitely decided that I'm going to try to live my life in this way.

Science Fiction or Fantasy?
Fantasy definitely! I'm not a huge fan of either genre but I think that, out of the two, I would rather read Harry Potter than read a science fiction book!

What Book Do You Regret Reading?
I don't think that there's ever been a book that I regret reading, because even if it was the worst book in the world, at least I can still say that I've read it!

How Large Is Your Book Case/Shelf?
I don't really have one. I have a small one in my bedroom but it isn't nearly big enough to hold even half of my books so I just rest them in the corner of my desk. The rest are in my wardrobe!

On Average, How Many Books Do You Read A Year?
I have no idea! This year so far I haven't read very many, but when my exams finish, I'll probably read a lot more! Maybe between 10 and 15.

What Book Do You Read Hundreds Of Times Without Getting Bored?
Any of the three books that I mentioned as my favourites, plus anything by Giovanna Fletcher. I could read them over and over and over again without even thinking about it because they're all such amazing books!

Do You Like To Read Outside?
Not really. I've never tried to read outside before because it's just so much easier to read indoors!

What Is The Biggest Life Lesson Learnt From A Book?
Looks don't matter. In life, being a nice person is the best way to make people see you as beautiful.

What Is The Best Book You've Read So Far?
I can't pick, definitely not! I love a lot of books but they all bring something unique to me. I definitely couldn't say that one is the best!

Thank you for reading!
