Girl Talk: Celebrity Idols

We all have our idols. Personally, I have had a good few idols in my life and these tend to change. By idols, I mean the celebrities (and youtubers) in our lives that we look up to. We have these idols for many different reasons. For example:

They have our ideal body-




They have our ideal career-





We're in love with them-

 

We aspire to be just like them-

 

 

Or all of the above.

But the point is, a lot of us need these idols to survive, we need someone who we can look up to and aspire to be like, so that we can plan our future around them, and this isn't a bad thing.

 

We just have to remember that, by basing our lives around celebrities, we are stopping ourselves from basing our lives around ourselves.

 

As well as this, all these things are subjective. We have different idols because we have different ideal body shapes, different career goals, different aspirational boyfriends and different people who we want to be like.

 

However, we all have idols for the same reason, because we need someone to look up to and someone to love.
