Exams!!

Are you currently taking exams?

I have literally just finished my first exam. It made me think about all of the people in the country who are taking the exact same exams as me at the exact same time. Exams are horrible for many reasons:
1. The Awkward walk to your seat
Is it just me, or is the most awkward part of an exam when you walk in, people are already seated and you have to walk past them to find your seat? The awkward walk that you do when you know that you're being watched by many people who have nothing better to than to watch you walk past them. Even worse than this is if you can't actually find your seat, or worse, if someone is already sitting in it! Overall, the best thing to do is to keep your head down and keep moving, the quicker the better.
2. Waiting for the exam to start
The pressure! One of the biggest exams of your life is sitting a few feet away in a cardboard box and all you can do is sit and wait. The anxiety and the pressure build up and I know people who claim that this is the worst point in an exam, you're hoping that all of your revision has gone to good use and that you can remember all of it. It seems like they take forever to lay those papers in front of you when really it's only been a few minutes.

3. Hand cramp
You're halfway through your exam when, all of a sudden, the pain in your hand starts to spasm and you wish that the time would just fly by. You need to shake out your hand and massage it, but you also need to keep writing, you're up against the clock! This is a bad situation because there is almost nothing you can do. Causing extra pressure!

4. Looking around/ Day dreaming
This is the point where you know you haven't got long left. You are eager to finish and your brain is starting to wonder. You have to keep snapping yourself back into place so that you can write your final words, but then everything comes into your mind, including things you never knew that you cared about. This is fine, as long as you actually have time to finish your exam!

5. Finishing early
You've finished your exams and are looking around, waiting for everyone else to finish. You're early and don't know what to do. You're also left dreading the result of the current exam and wishing that you could just skip to results day and get it over with!
6. Having to repeat.
The worst thing about exams is the fact that we can't escape them. For the average person, there are between 4 - 7 years between your first exam and your last. This means that, for the majority of our lives, we will have exactly the same situations and the same worries and fears. As well as this, the only thing guaranteed by passing our early exams is more exams later on!

I hope this post has helped you, or at least made you smile during the busy exam period.
Sorry that this post is short, I'm also busy with exams and am spending a lot of my free time revising (Or on Youtube)

Thank you for reading. Please comment below your worries about the exam period!
