Book Review #32: Unsaid Things by McFly

Image
Sorry this wasn't up yesterday, I've been really sick for the past few days!   I completely love McFly, seriously. I have always been into BoyBands and they are no exception. I don't know what it is about them that attracted me to them in the first place, but I think it has to do with the fact that they play their own instruments and are such genuinely nice people. I was a fan of them before reading this book for the first time, but reading this confirmed my love for them.   As you can probably tell from the cover, this is an autobiography. It begins with each of the boys talking a bit about their childhoods, which I found really interesting because, as a fan, I never really knew about their childhoods, or their lives before 'McFly', before reading this book. It then goes into how they got together and what they did as a band. As in how they wrote songs and who had what role in the band. It explains how they got into relationships with Giovanna, Izzy, Geo...

I love... Bubble Bath Review

Image
The flavours I'm reviewing are strawberry celebration (or 'strawberries and cream') and Mango and Papaya. The first thing I have to comment on is the smell of these. They smell so close to the fruits that they resemble, it's amazing! And it's not just me, on the back of the 'Strawberry Celebration' bottle, it says 'I AM NOT A FOOD' so I guess that the company are scared that people will try to eat it! The size and shape of the bottles means that the bottles are completely full of the bubble bath, which is great because you really do get your money's worth! On the website it says that it has real extracts of the fruits in it, which I think is great and really adds to the great smell. I tried the strawberry one first. I love the smell of this so much, just like strawberries! It looks really pink in the bottle, but when you put it on your skin it clears out, which I like because you don't have to worry about it leaving marks of colo...

Album Review: Ed Sheeran - X

Image
I am a massive fan of Ed Sheeran!   I'm not sure when his album came out but I got it a few days ago and immediately wanted to do a song-by-song album review, so here it is!   Also, just to let you know, I'm reviewing the deluxe edition of the album, which has a few extra songs.   One I love this song! When you listen to it turned up, it's like you can imagine watching Ed singing this song in a recording studio, which is amazing! Favourite Lyric: 'You are the only one' Rating: 7/10   I'm a Mess My favourite thing about this song is the guitar in it. I assume Ed plays it himself, which is great! It's a simple melody, but mixed with his voice and lyrics, it's amazing! Favourite lyric: 'Burns so bright I want to feel your love' Rating: 8/10   Sing This is the first upbeat one so far. Personally, I prefer Ed's slower songs, but this song has been playing on the radio so much recently that I have come to re...

Book Review #31: Christmas With Billy and Me by Giovanna Fletcher

Image
I reviewed 'Billy and Me' here , so check it out before reading this review if you haven't already! I am so glad that Giovanna decided to write a sequel to Billy and Me because I was really curious to see what would happen after the first book ended! As well as this, because it is a short story (60 pages long) it was really quick and easy to read, but still gave me a lot of detail from Sophie and Billy. If you haven't read the first book, I'll try really hard not to give any spoilers for it, but I'm really sorry if I do! The book carries on from the first so I think it's kind of expected that the person reading has also read the first book.   Sophie May is in a completely different place to where she was in the first novel. Mentally. Physically, she still works at Tea-On-The-Hill, appropriately re-named 'Molly's-on-the-hill', but her mental attitude has completely changed. Quiet, anxious Sophie is now confident and standing on her own ...

My Blogging Motivation

Image
In yesterday's post, I gave some blogging tips. But none of them matter if you have no motivation to blog. We all have the days. Either we can't think of anything to write about, we have a topic but nothing worthwhile to say about it, or even the fact that the world of YouTube videos seems a lot more inviting than the white space of an unwritten blog post. All of these things are normal. Obviously everyone loses motivation. The problem is when it doesn't come back. Some people lose so much motivation that they begin to doubt their ability to write their blog and begin to think of blogging as a job. For most of us, blogging is not a job, it's a hobby. If you're forcing yourself to write unmotivated, then it will begin to feel like a job because you'll think that you have no choice. Because I have lost motivation many times and got it back, I thought I'd show you what I do to stay motivated. Write It Down Whenever you have a good idea, write it d...

Tips For New Bloggers

I'm still a relatively new blogger, this is my 7th month of blogging. But I know that so many people either don't know how to start a blog, or they need a few tips to help them with their blog. This post is not going to be about being motivated to blog. Tomorrow, I am going to do a post about  being motivated and how I stay motivated when blogging. When it's written, I'll link it here so do check it out after you read this. I don't know if my tips are going to be helpful or not, but I wanted to share a few things that I hope will make blogging, for you, a bit easier if you need a bit of help or guidance. 1. Write and save posts before you put them up If you have a really good idea for a post, but you don't want to upload it on that specific day, then write it when you feel inspired and upload it whenever you want! I have started doing this recently. With my blog, I have specific days that I want to upload (Monday, Wednesday, Friday and either Saturda...

Book Review #30: Girl Missing by Sophie McKenzie

Image
I am a huge fan of Sophie McKenzie! I've actually read the whole of the 'missing' trilogy and I completely loved it, so I knew that I had to review this book!   Lauren is adopted, but her past has always been somewhat of a mystery. All her parents have told her is that she had a 'closed adoption', meaning that no one knew anything about the other family. So when Lauren finds reason to believe that this may not be strictly true, she takes matters into her own hands. British Lauren finds out that she may have been stolen from an American family when she was a baby, so she decides to find out the truth. With her best friend Jam in tow, she travels around the world to find out the truth about her birth family. But Lauren finds more than she bargained for when she discovers the truth. Are her parents involved in the truth behind her adoption? And just how dangerous are the people that are prepared to do anything to keep her from knowing the truth?   I...
