Baking Brownies!

Hey Guys x

As soon as my sister went on holiday two weeks ago, we decided that we would bake something.

As I baked cookies a week or so before, we decided that we'd bake brownies instead!

So we found a recipe from the BBC goodfood website and made the brownies, and they were completely delicious!

So, obviously I was taking pictures throughout so I could show you guys how to make these brownies too, and what they turned out like.

Enjoy!

The Ingredients

85g plain flour

275g caster sugar

185g unsalted butter

40g cocoa powder

3 large eggs

185g dark chocolate, 50g milk chocolate, 50g white chocolate

The Method

Cut both the butter and dark chocolate into small pieces and put them in a bowl.
Melt them together by placing the bowl over a saucepan 1/4 filled with boiling water (on a low heat), stirring quite often. make sure the bowl isn't touching the water.
once completely melted, leave to cool at room temperature.

While it's cooling, pre-heat your oven to 160 degrees Celsius.
Put the flour and cocoa powder in a sieve, getting rid of all the lumps.

Chop the chocolate into chunks

Break the eggs into a large bowl and add the sugar. Whisk until the mixture is creamy and resembles a milkshake. This is generally easier with an electric whisk. It should also become quite pale.

Pour the cooled chocolate mixture over the whisked egg and sugar mixture and fold them together. The colour should be a chocolate brown.
Then add in the sieved cocoa powder and flour.

Stir in the chocolate chunks until their evenly spread throughout the mixture.

Pour the mixture into a baking tray, spreading out the mixture so that it covers the whole tray.
Cook it for around 25 minutes.
The top should be shiny with a papery crust.

Wait until they are completely cool, and then cut them into quarters, eat and enjoy!
They can be kept for up to 2 weeks in an airtight container, and up to a month in the freezer.

I can't get over how delicious these are! Definitely try the recipe out!
