3 Month Favourites | October - December 2025
I always try to keep the Oct-Dec favourites post on the shorter side because I've got a longer one going up tomorrow, but I still managed to find 10 things/people to write about!
Favourite Movie (1): The Long Walk
I've got a review of this going up in the new year so I won't say too much here, but I wasn't expecting to like this film as much as I did, so it was definitely a pleasant surprise. It's worth watching if you haven't seen it yet, though it won't be for everyone!
Favourite Movie (2): Wicked: For Good
And in contrast, one that I knew I'd probably like. Again, a review is going up in the new year but after hearing mixed reviews I was a bit apprehensive. But thankfully I really liked it. I know the play well so I knew what I was getting into and it completely met my expectations in a great way.
Favourite Movie (3): The Running Man
And what was probably my biggest surprise of the last few months! I hadn't heard great things so I didn't rush to see it, though I knew I would eventually. I was so surprised by how much I liked it! It was exactly what I wanted it to be: fun, a bit silly, exciting and tense. I would definitely recommend this one - and I'll be reviewing it properly in the new year, as with all the other movies I've mentioned.
Favourite TV Show (1): Bridgerton
I was really late coming to this show - though thankfully I fell in love with it in time to hopefully get it all finished before the next season in January. Admittedly, my plan was to watch season 2 only, based on both what I'd heard about it, and also a newfound Wicked-inspired love for Jonathan Bailey. But I completely fell in love with the show and all the characters, so once I finished season 2 I just kept going and I'm completely loving season 3. I'm hoping to finish it and go back to season 1 to get that done in time for the new season. I'm also planning to start reading the books too - that's how much I love this world! I can't believe it took me so long to get into.
Favourite TV Show (2): Fellow Travelers
Already being a fan of Matt Bomer, once I started getting into Jonathan Bailey's filmography, starting this show was a no-brainer. I had a vague idea of what it was about but I didn't expect to get completely sucked into the world of these characters. The story takes place over 40 years and is so many things, including a story of love, and a story of tragedy. It's a really powerful story with characters you have no choice but to love, and I'd definitely recommend it.Favourite Song: Wicked: For Good Soundtrack
Favourite YouTuber: Zoe Sugg
I mention Zoe's vlogmas in this Favourites post every year and nothing has changed! The way I interact with YouTubers has changed so much over the years, but videos like these are still a source of comfort, even if I just put them on in the background. It's great to have something to get you into the festive spirit every day up until Christmas - and I'm so behind that I'll probably have some to watch into the new year too!
Favourite Actor (1): Jonathan Bailey
Surprise surprise! In the last month I've watched Wicked: For Good, Bridgerton and Fellow Travelers, and earlier this year I watched Jurassic World Rebirth, Heartstopper and rewatched Broadchurch, so it was pretty much inevitable that he would be on this list. He's been in a few other projects that I want to check out and I can't wait to see more of him!Favourite Actor (2): Chase Infiniti
I made no secret of how much I loved One Battle After Another, and of all the performances in the movie, Chase Infiniti's has stuck with me the most. I first saw her in her first TV show 'Presumed Innocent' and she was great, so I was happy to see her in a new project, and she completely blew me away. I'm really pulling for her to get an Oscar nomination and I can't wait to see where her career goes from here!
Favourite Actor (3): Glen Powell
I haven't paid much attention to Glen Powell before the last few months, so it was a surprise when I looked him up before seeing The Running Man and realised that I've seen more of his movies than I realised - and always liked his performances. That prompted me to re-watch the ones I'd seen, particularly the rom-coms, and I had a really great time! Rom-coms are a dying genre so I really appreciate the work he's done to keep them in the public interest!
And those are my October - December favourites! Come back tomorrow for my 2025 favourites!
