My 20th Birthday! | Blogmas Day 12

Image
Hey Guys x It's my 20th Birthday!! I am a 20 year old person - and that freaks me out. I started my blog when I was 17, and now I'm not even a teenager anymore! I can't even handle the fact that I should be well into my adulting by now, I should be a fully grown adult and be doing all these adult things. It's weird to think that I'm now in the same decade as all the YouTubers that I watch, because they always seemed so old and mature and their lives seemed light-years ahead of mine. But no, we're all in our 20s, going through life in the same way. I don't think I'm like a normal 20 year old. I don't go out and get drunk (I've never actually been drunk in my entire life, and to be honest that's not really something that I want to do, I don't see the appeal) I don't work, of course this will change in the future so it's not that big of a thing, and I am trying to get work experience in the field of my choice, but it...

December So Far... | Blogmas Day 11

Image
Hey Guys x So, I know a lot of vloggers don't do Christmassy videos, they literally just film their lives in the days leading up to Christmas. I have some fun Christmassy things planned for the other Blogmas days, but for today, I couldn't think of anything. So I thought I'd just do a quick little post to update you on what I've been up to in December so far. I want to start by saying that I'm not yet in the Christmassy spirit. At all. I'm not excited for Christmas, I'm not excited for food or festivities - I'm not even excited for presents, which is really unlike me! Most of my Christmas shopping is done (thankfully, some of my friends and I decided to save money and not exchange gifts this year) because I only have to buy for 3 people. But I don't feel that tingle of excitement when I imagine them opening their presents. Let me make it clear how unchristmassy I feel. Whenever I watch Zoella's vlogs, she has a Christmas movie on in ...

Movies That Changed Me | Blogmas Day 10

Image
Hey Guys x So, for today's movie-based post I thought I'd tell you about some of the movies that have helped shape the person that I am today. I've picked 5 that I think pretty much represent me right now, so I hope you enjoy seeing which movies have shaped me! The Avengers I've spoken about this movie so many times that you probably could have guessed that it would be the first thing on this list. However, it changed me when I first saw it, but it's also changed me very recently. It's one of the reasons that I now want to work behind the scenes of a movie and one day maybe a filmmaker. This film showed me how intense behind-the-scenes work can be, as well as how integral it is to a big movie like this, which is so interesting. This film and the following Marvel films have changed me in so many different ways, but the main one is definitely that it gave me a passion about film. Shelter I saw this film at the ...

Letter To Santa | Blogmas Day 9

Image
Hey Guys x So, this is a post that I haven't done before, but I thought it would be kind of cool to do it now. I've never actually written a letter to Santa (aka father Christmas) before, so I don't know how this will turn out, but I hope you enjoy it! Dear Santa, I don't want a lot for Christmas, There are just some things I need... First of all, who can go wrong with a little bit of money? As a jobless student, money would be amazing right now! But also, opportunity. Santa, I want 2017 to be the year of opportunity. I want work experience, career prospects, the chance at a great future. I want to be a creator. I want to make things, to do things that people love and enjoy. And I want some more trivial things. I want books, I want movies, I want things to be passionate about. Dear Santa, All I want for Christmas is things I can use. I want clothes, shoes, things I need. Maybe a new, state-of-the-art camera, for filming purposes? But most of all...

My Favourite Marvel Movies | Blogmas Day 8

Image
Hey Guys x Of course I was going to do a Marvel themed post at some point, and my movie-based Blogmas seemed like the best time! In this post I'll be ranking the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movies, from worst to best in my opinion. I won't be ranking 'The Incredible Hulk' or 'Doctor Strange' because I haven't seen either of them yet. I hope you enjoy this, and if you're not a fan of Marvel, I hope this persuades you to watch some of the movies! 12. Iron Man 2 So, Iron Man 2 is last on my list. I think it's been widely established among MCU fans that this movie wasn't the greatest, and I have to agree. I like the movie, I think the humour is great and obviously the acting is amazing, but as a whole, it doesn't do anything to advance the MCU. This film's villain, 'Whiplash', doesn't really pose that much of a threat, they defeat him quite easily at the end of the film, and I wasn't worried at any point that th...

Letter To Winter | Blogmas Day 7

Image
Hey Guys x So, I've done a letter to Winter every single Blogmas that I've taken part in - one rhyming and one not but both poems. This year, I've actually taken a poetry class, so the poem should be progressively better - I don't know if that will be the case though! It's not going to rhyme, because forcing a rhyme is harder than no rhyme at all. Letter to Winter Dear Winter, The third time I'm writing this letter to you and I have nothing new to say. Winter is my favourite season. My favourite time, favourite month, favourite day. The 12th day in particular, my favourite of them all, my day to chill, to read, to write, to do whatever I want. A day of presents, of fun and friends, This year, the 20th one. But that's not the only reason I love Winter, Christmas for a start - the festive time. Blogmas, Vlogmas, Snapmas, A time for creators to create, for makers to make. Winter's the time when everyone...

Christmas Present Ideas | Blogmas Day 3

Image
Hey Guys x The title of this post is pretty vague, but I just wanted to talk through a few general Christmas present ideas. I won't be too specific, because you know what's best to get your friends and family. Anyway, here are some of my ideas! Go Sentimental I love both getting and receiving sentimental gifts. I think it really shows that someone cares, and it can be a great way to tell someone how much you value having them in your life, especially if the present is something that is only significant to the two of you! Movies You already know how much I love movies, but I still think they're such a good present idea. They're not expensive, and I think it's really nice when someone says, 'I thought you might like this' - if you like the movie that they give you, then great! If you don't, then at least you've seen a movie that you can not cross off your list and tell other people not to see it! I know with Netflix these days, buying som...
