Twilight | 100 Movies Bucket List

This was one of my most highly anticipated re-watches on the bucket list this year.

I have never been one to apologise for my love of Twilight. I was introduced to the books as the second movie was coming out and loved them so much I watched the movies too.

I definitely didn't expect it to be on any kind of bucket list, let alone a bucket list of classic movies, but I can't say it's not iconic for one reason or another, so it definitely earns its place.

One of the things the saga is most known for is for catapulting its main stars, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, into incredibly well-respected actors. Pattinson in particular is making amazing career choices and has done some amazing performances.

The casting of the characters also felt really close to how the book described them. And even when things were a bit off, the actors were good enough and committed enough to make it work.

This film feels so nostalgic. Watching it took me right back in time to when these movies were the biggest thing in the world and were actually really important to people.

On this re-watch, one thing that really stuck out for me was the music. The soundtrack to this film is amazing! One hit after the next, from classical to rock and everything in between, it was one of the best things to come out of the film.

I also just really liked the story. There's no doubt that I have a love of vampire lore that was directly sparked by this movie, and although there are things that were done better in other vampire media, I love how unique this version of vampires was.

I kind of wish the whole saga was on the bucket list so I could talk about some of the great things in the other films too, like the wolves, which were also unique and done well.

Watching the film gave me the urge to start re-reading all the books, which would be really fun.

So yes, I love this movie, cringe and all. I'm a fan of the story in every way it's told, and I'm really glad it was on the list!
