Look Both Ways | Film Review

This is a film that came out on Netflix recently. I really liked the basic premise, and I like Lili Reinhart as an actress, so this was one that was quickly added to my 'to-watch' list.

On the evening of her graduation, Natalie's (Lili Reinhart) life splits into parallel realities.

I really liked this film. I actually liked it a lot more than I thought I would.

This is a unique story with a really interesting premise. While neither of the stories would have been great on their own, the combining of these two stories makes for a compelling watch.

I liked the way the film was shot - particularly when the two universes came together and ran simultaneously in the same locations.

The characters are interesting and really well-written. They all feel authentic and real. In addition to Lili Reinhart as Natalie, the film also stars Danny Ramirez as Gabe, David Corenswet as Jake, Aisha Dee as Cara, Nia Long as Lucy, and Andrea Savage and Luke Wilson as Natalie's parents Tina and Rick. The cast is great, and the actors play their parts really well.

The film itself isn't anything ground-breaking, but it's definitely entertaining.

The thing about this film is that, it's not giving the audience a message or a moral. The majority of the film literally just shows Natalie's two different life paths, but other than everything being okay in the end, there isn't really anything to take from it.

Overall, this is an entertaining watch, though it doesn't delve into either of Natalie's lives as deeply as I wanted to see.

6/10
