5 Books You Need To Read!

Image
As you probably already know, I love books. I’m a complete bookworm and I just love to sit and read for as long as I can. But I haven’t reviewed a book in a really long time (Mainly because I’m still trying to get through ‘gone girl’!), so I thought that I would just recommend some books to you that I think you guys should read. This post will probably happen multiple times as I remember old books or read new ones, so these are 5 that I’m loving at this current moment in time. They are also in no particular order because I’m not saying that one is better than the other, I’m just saying that they’re all amazing! Me Before You   I’ve spoken about this book so many times, but one of the main reasons that I’m recommending it now is because it kind of just changes your perspective on life. Well, it did for me. In the same way that ‘My Sister’s Keeper’ makes people evaluate their lives and realise how lucky they are, this kind of does the same thing. It m...

My Dating Profile!

Image
Hey Guys x I saw this tag on Carrie Fletcher's YouTube channel and I immediately loved it! Her video is below:   This was created by Emma Blackery, and I just think it's such a good idea, because it's just something fun that you can do to see the kind of person that you want to go out with.   Plus I really love the questions!   If you're reading this, consider yourself tagged!   My Dating Profile   Do you believe in love at first sight? Not really. I believe in lust at first sight, as in being very physically attracted to someone the first time you see them. But there is no way to know anything about someone's personality by looking at them. Even the nicest looking people can turn out to be really horrible on the inside. What do you do for fun? Except from blogging, I read a lot, I write a lot (posts, fan fictions and working on a novel), and outside of the house, I'm a big fan of just, like, movies and cinema. Films are amazin...

Girls On YouTube

Image
Hey Guys x   So recently, I've been thinking about the girls that we love to watch on YouTube.   There are many categories that the girls that I watch fall into. I watch beauty-guru's, bloggers, vloggers, film makers, singers and more.   And, after watching this episode of Becoming YouTube (Ben Cook's series), I was inspired to write a post about the girls that are on YouTube.   You can watch the episode of Becoming YouTube below!     Basically, within the YouTube community, there has been a bit of conflict because some female YouTubers felt like beauty gurus were considered less important than female vloggers.   I can understand this.   Sometimes, it feels like vlogging is considered a talent while being a beauty-guru is just a hobby, which isn't totally fair. Although I'm not into the whole make-up thing, I do believe that make-up is a very creative and artistic thing, and the vloggers who do ...

My Blogging Tips and Tricks!

Hey Guys x   At the end of this month, I will have been blogging for an entire year, which I find difficult to comprehend!   However, in my year of blogging, I have learnt many things that have either made blogging easier or more fun for me, or given me the motivation to continue to blog.   So I thought that I would share some of my tips and tricks with you, just in case you need some motivation right now, or if you think you'll need some in the future!   I really hope you find these tips helpful.   You can also leave your own tips in the comments below for other people to read!   1. The 'Comment' Document   I've mentioned this before, I but I can't remember which post it was in. Basically, what I do is, when I get a really nice comment (and you guys leave so many!), I copy the comment into a word document. Then, if I feel like I'm losing motivation, I read through the nice comments that have been left by you g...

The DUFF | Film Review

Image
Hey Guys x I went to see this film yesterday for one of my best friend's birthdays and immediately wanted to review it. I know that the film is originally a book, but as I haven't read the book, my review is purely based on the film. However, I know that one of my friends who had read the book, felt differently about the movie than I did. Anyway, let me get on with the review! The film is about a girl called Bianca. She notices that, while in school, nobody pays attention to her, instead, only speaking to her two best friends Jess and Casey, who are more popular than her and branded 'prettier'. She doesn't think anything of this, until her ex-friend and neighbour Wesley tells Bianca that she is the DUFF (Designated ugly fat friend). Bianca denies this, but when she thinks about it, she realises that this is the case in her high school. So her solution is to ask Wes to 'un-duff' her, and in exchange, she'll help him pass science. But as Bianca...

Book Haul | 2

Image
Hey Guys x I haven't done a book haul since June last year, which is crazy! You can see my first one here ! About a month ago, I told my mum that I was going to go shopping, and buy as many books as I could. I had been looking for an excuse to get some new books, so today, I went 'round WHSmiths and Waterstones and found some books that I really liked the sound of. So of course, as with everything, I took pictures of the books that I bought so that I could show them to you. Just to reiterate, these are all books that I bought today, so I haven't read any of them. If you have read any of the books, please let me know what you thought of them! The Bed I Made - Lucie Whitehouse   This is one that my mum bought for me. It is about a girl called Kate who meets a guy called Richard in a bar. They begin a relationship, but 18 months later, Kate ends it. However, this leads to her fleeing London for the Isle Of White, and what started off as a nuisance, becom...

Baking A Coconut And Sultana Loaf!

Image
Hey Guys x On Good Friday, we had my grandma over, and of course, with all grandparents comes old family recipes! She taught me and my sister how to make this coconut and sultana loaf, which she learnt many many years ago. We had a lot of fun making the loaves and of course, I decided to take pictures so that I could give you guys the recipe, in case you fancy making it! I'm going to show you one with sultanas and one without sultanas, as the loaf tastes delicious both ways. The recipe without sultanas makes two loaves, and the one with sultanas makes six (not for any reason in particular, just because we were making four for my dad to keep, two for us and two for other family members) But you can always add or take away from the recipe to get as many loaves as you want! The Ingredients Caster Sugar, which I don't have a picture of, but don't forget it because it's essential!  Desiccated Coconut  Butter  Vanilla Essence    S...
