Everything, Everything | Film Review

Hey Guys x I read this book ages ago, and I was anxiously awaiting the release of the film. Mostly, I wanted to see how true they kept certain events. In addition to that, the way that certain things in the book were described made them so vivid, that I thought it would be interesting to see the interpretation of those things in the book. So, this film is about a girl called Maddie. Maddie has a condition that means that, if she leaves her house, she could easily die. Because of this, she hasn't left the house for 18 years, and doesn't know what it feels like to be free. To feel fresh air, or to go to the beach. But she didn't complain or try to rebel against this, because her mother (a doctor) knew what was best for her. Until she meets her new next door neighbour, Olly. As the two talk, connect and start to fall for each other (through emails, texts and hand-to-glass communication) Maddie realises that Olly might be worth rebelling for, worth going outside ...

Book Review #47: Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon

Hey Guys x This book was a part of Zoella's book club, so when it came up in my amazon recommendations, I decided on a whim to just buy it, and I am so glad I did! The book is about a girl called Maddy, who is allergic to the world. When I told my sister about the book, I had to explain what this meant, so I'll explain it here too. She's not scared of the world, she's literally allergic. If she leaves her house, she'll get sick and maybe even die, so she has to live without ever experiencing the outside world. Enter Olly, the cute boy next door who Maddy has no choice but to stay away from. However, when Olly finds a way to communicate, Maddy has to decide whether or not to risk everything for love, and by everything, she really means everything. I really enjoyed this book, I thought it was so interesting. It wasn't just written in the form of a book, but in notes, instant messages, drawings, I loved it!
