Bye Bye Blogmas | Blogmas Day 24

Image
Hey Guys x It's the end of Blogmas! I mean, officially, Blogmas ends tomorrow, but as tomorrow is Christmas day, today is the end of my Blogmas. Blogmas this year has been much harder than Blogmas the previous two years I've done it. I've been out of ideas, I haven't been bothered and I haven't felt like anyone is reading my posts. But because of this, this has been my favourite Blogmas looking back. This is because I haven't forced myself to post about Christmas every day, and so instead I've been able to write posts about things that I'm passionate about. And I'm proud of myself for setting aside the time each day to write a handful of posts, especially when I wanted to be doing anything but. I don't have a lot to say today. Tomorrow's post is also going to be really short, because it's Christmas. But I just want to say, I hope you really enjoyed my Blogmas posts. I hope you're going to spend the new year watching t...

5 Films You Haven't Heard Of! | Blogmas Day 23

Image
Hey Guys x I can't believe Blogmas is almost over! I'm posting every day until the end of December anyway, but it's still weird to think that I've been doing Blogmas posts for 23 days already! I'm definitely giving myself a break in January! This is also my last movie-based post in Blogmas, so thanks to everyone who's commented on them and liked them, maybe I'll do something similar next year? Anyway, for today's post, I'm going to highlight some maybe lesser-known movies that you guys might not have heard of, that I think are really amazing and should be more popular! I hope you enjoy this post! The Loft This film is incredible! It's a psychological thriller about 5 married guys who buy a loft apartment together so that they can keep secrets from their wives. However, one morning the 5 guys discover that a woman has been killed in their loft and handcuffed to the bed. They are the only ones that have keys, so, which one is the kil...

My Filmmaking Idols! | Blogmas Day 21

Image
Hey Guys x I have to say, daily blogging is really beginning to take it's toll! I'll stick it out for the rest of December, but I really hope next Blogmas (if I do it) is a lot easier! Anyway, today I thought I'd tell you about some of my filmmaking idols - the people who do their jobs well and aspire me to follow in their footsteps. Let me know who some of your career idols are in the comments! JJ Abrams JJ Abrams is on this list because, simply, he makes good stuff. But in addition to that, he is really passionate about the projects that he takes on - you can tell! I've seen a lot of interviews with him from when he directed the first two Star Trek movies ('09 and Into Darkness) and it's clear how much he loves his job and how much fun he had making them, as well as how hard he worked. But in addition to that, the cast of those two films could not stop raving about him and saying how good he was as a director, which just tells you how awesome he is...

My Christmas Tree | Blogmas Day 20

Image
Hey Guys x I haven't been taking a lot of pictures this year, but I got a new phone for my birthday (called a OnePlus Two) and I wanted to try out the camera. What better way to try out the camera than to let you guys see this year's Christmas tree? I hope you enjoy! I have to say, I really do love this camera! Thank you for viewing these pictures. It's 5 days until Christmas! Come back tomorrow for Blogmas day 21!

The Movie Tag! | Blogmas Day 19

Image
Hey Guys x So today's post is a movie tag! I found this tag on a blog called 'Getting Through Anxiety', which you can see here ! Feel free to answer some of the questions in the comments below! How often do you watch a movie? When I'm not at uni, practically every day. When I am, at least twice or three times a week. Some days I re-watch old films that I love, but if I have time, I love to get stuck into a new film. What movie genre are you particularly fond of? Horrors. I love a good horror movie! What was the last movie that you watched and hated? I didn't finish it, but I wasn't particularly fond of the new Tarzan movie. I guess I expected it to be a live version of the Disney cartoon, but it wasn't at all! What is your favourite movie of all time? Back To The Future. I've said this so many times! What is your favourite guilty pleasure movie? I think mine is 'The Amityville Asylum'. This movie is ...

Secret Santa Present Ideas | Blogmas Day 18

Image
Hey Guys x Whether you work, are at school, or have a lot of family members, it's completely probable that you could be doing secret santa this year. And everyone knows that Secret Santa presents are sometimes harder to buy because you can have a spending limit, or you might not know the person that you're buying for that well. So I thought that I'd show you three ideas of things that you can buy for anyone this Christmas on a budget. I'll put the link for all the products with them - they're all from Amazon. (I'm definitely not sponsored by amazon, but if they want to sponsor me, feel free!) Stationary (Buy this Emoji stationary set from amazon here !) I think Stationary is a really nice gift because, pens, pencils and pencil cases are things that everyone can use and will always come in handy. These are especially good if you don't know who you're buying for, as they are useful for everyone! A Candle (Buy this candle from...

5 Films I Haven't Mentioned | Blogmas Day 17

Image
Hey Guys x This year, I have mentioned so many different films on the blog that I thought it would be interesting to tell you about some films that I haven't mentioned or spoken about on here before. It was really hard to find these films because I literally talk about every film that I've ever seen on here! However, I did manage to find 5 films that I haven't really spoken about before that I think are worth mentioning. I hope you enjoy this post! Triple 9 This is an action movie about a group of men who begin the film by robbing a bank. However, when their reward money is withheld by their boss's wife, they are forced to complete an even bigger job, choosing to instigate a 'Triple 9', which means that a cop will be killed/attacked so that all the other cops in the area will go to that location and the criminals can make their move. This is a really exciting, fast-paced film that I think most people would really enjoy. The Unborn Of course, I ha...

Christmas Rant! | Blogmas Day 16

Image
Hey Guys x So of course, Christmas is a time to be magical and nice. A time to spend with family and friends, to relax before the pressures of the new year begin. But, there are some things that I don't like about the Christmas period. So I thought I'd do a rant about the Christmas period for you to read. Of course, most of these things are light-hearted and this post is definitely not designed to put a negative spin on Christmas! Anyway, I hope you enjoy! Money No one can escape the fact that Christmas costs money! I especially feel sorry for my friends and family, as my birthday is so close to Christmas that they probably end up spending double the amount that they would have! But when you have presents, cards, food, maybe secret santa or something else where you buy a present for an acquaintance, you're going to spend a lot of money! And if you're a student like me, that's not really a good thing! Plans I don't know about you, but it's...

My Filmmaking Dreams | Blogmas Day 15

Image
Hey Guys x Today, I thought I'd talk to you a bit about my filmmaking dreams. I've said for the past few weeks that I want to explore filmmaking, but I haven't talked about what in particular I'd like to do. Well, for starters, I'd like to explore directing. When you watch a film, the director is the person that you don't even think about, who held the whole film together and is basically one of the main reasons why the film works, and why it's as good (or bad) as it is. Directors are so important to the filmmaking process, and this is definitely something that I'd like to look into. It excites me because, the director is the person who has an idea of what the film will look like, and is actually able to make their dream a reality for hundreds of thousands of millions of people to see. That's amazing! However, I'd also love to explore editing and production. I want to be behind the scenes and see what makes the film exactly what ...

A Christmas Tag! | Blogmas Day 14

Image
Hey Guys x Today I'm doing a Christmas Tag! I found a tag on this blog, check it out here ! I'm only answering some of the questions. Feel free to do this tag yourself! 1. What is your favourite Christmas film? I think mine has to be Love Actually. There are so many films that I love that take place at Christmas, and are therefore 'Christmas films', but Love Actually is my favourite that's overtly about Christmas. I always watch it around this time because it just really puts me in the most Christmassy of moods! 2. Have you ever had a white Christmas? I actually can't remember! Maybe when I was younger but certainly not for the last few years! 3. Where do you usually spend your holiday? If you mean the Christmas period, at home. But Christmas day in particular I usually spend at my aunt's house. 4. What is your favourite Christmas song? Probably Mariah Carey's version of 'Santa Claus is Coming to Town'. I really love that son...

My 10 Favourite Movies | Blogmas Day 13

Image
Hey Guys x So, next up in my list of movie-based posts is my 10 Favourite Movies of all-time! Of course, I'll probably change these favourites in a month, but right now, these seem like my all-time favourite movies, and I can't wait to share them with you! The top 3 haven't changed from the last time I did this post, but all the others have! However, because they are my favourites, they are all movies that I talk about all the time anyway, so you could probably guess what they are! 10. About Time I love this movie! It's a romantic time-travel movie about a guy who finds out that he is able to time travel and change the past. He helps himself to meet his girlfriend, to marry her, to have children, and everything else that happens to them. It's such a great movie that will leave you just feeling nice and positive. Definitely a must-watch for everyone who likes a bit of romance! 9. Urban Legend This film came on television the other night, which is prob...
