Book Review #40: Dream A Little Christmas Dream by Giovanna Fletcher

Image
Hey Guys x This is Gi Fletcher's latest book, a short story that continues from 'Dream a Little Dream', which I reviewed here ! Personally, I think that the best thing Giovanna ever did was leave this story open for a sequel, it is my favourite story of hers and this sequel certainly does not disappoint! Just as a warning, if you haven't read 'Dream A Little Dream', but you're planning to, my review will probably contain spoilers, so you may not want to read it! It carries on from where the last book left off following Sarah Thompson, her gang of best friends, and her boyfriend Brett Last. It's now Christmas, and not much has changed within the group - until now. It seems that Christmas is the time when all of Sarah's friends have decided that it's time to grow up and to get serious about the future. Apart from Brett. Whenever Sarah brings up their future, the subject is always avoided. So what's going on with Brett? Can Sarah figur...

My October Playlist!

Image
Hey Guys x I love doing these playlist posts, and try to do them once a month when I have a lot of new music to gush about! And the end of September was a month for great music for me! So these are some of the songs that I've spent October listening to! Birdy - Wings (Acoustic) I mentioned this song in my October Favourites post a few days ago, and I'm still loving it just as much! Both the song itself and her voice are beautiful and I could listen to it again and again without getting bored! Beyoncé - Move Your Body I know that this is an old song, but I've been listening to it and watching the music video so much that I couldn't not include it! How she dances like she does with the heels that she wears, I will never know, and never be able to achieve! Not to mention, like always, her voice is amazing! Carly Rae Jepsen - I Really Like You Another song that I'm obsessed with. She got Tom Hanks and Justin Bieber to be in this video with her...

First Month at University | Expectations vs Reality

Image
Hey Guys x As some of you may know, I started university just over a month ago, and so far I'm really liking it! However, so many things are different to the way that I first expected them to be, so I thought that I'd share some of these with you. Of course, these are my own expectations and my own experiences, so if you're currently at uni too, you may not be able to relate, especially if you've left home, as I haven't! The Workload Expectation: I didn't expect the workload to be too heavy. My thought process was: 'People spend the whole of the first year getting drunk, so how can the workload be too heavy?' Reality: Oh how wrong I was! The amount of reading is crazy and was something that I completely didn't expect when I first started! It's not unbearable, but definitely something to be aware of! Social Life Expectation: I thought I was going to meet people who spent all their time drinking and clubbing, and that I would have ...

Halloween Horror Movies!

Image
Hey Guys x Halloween is tomorrow, and as someone who loves a good horror movie or two (or ten!), I am very excited for it! Mainly to sit down and watch some horror movies. So I decided to share some of the films that I'm watching around the Halloween period. Hopefully you'll be able to watch some of them! Just be warned, when I say a film isn't scary, people tell me that I'm crazy because they found it really scary, so you may find some of these more scary than I did, so watch the trailers first! Annabelle This film is the prequel to 'The Conjuring'. It is about a couple, about to have a baby, who purchase a doll that the woman has wanted for ages. However, as soon as they purchase the doll, weird things start happening. So weird, that the husband tries to throw the doll away and they move house. But somehow, they can never seem to get rid of Annabelle! This is a great horror film, especially if you want to be scared on Halloween. I don't really ...

October Favourites | 2015

Image
Hey Guys x I haven't done a lot of posts this month, but one thing that I definitely could not miss was my October Favourites, especially as I have so many amazing things to share with you guys this month! I hope some of my favourites can become your favourites too! Favourite Movie: The Visit This movie... omg. If you're not one for jump scares, avoid this! But if you're a fan of horror, or anything a bit scary, watch this because it's one of the best horror movies that I've seen. I got it on a whim after hearing about it from a friend, and I am so glad that she told me about it because me, my sister, and my mum all loved it. Even my dad, who hates horror movies, enjoyed it, so give it a chance! Favourite TV Show: Impractical Jokers This show is amazing. Completely amazing and without a doubt the funniest thing on TV right now! It's about four high-school friends who basically embarrass each other by setting them different tasks involving the gener...

Your Own Disney Movie! | Tag

Image
Hey Guys x I've finally created my own Disney Tag! I've been wanting to do this for a long time, but I haven't had any good ideas, I just knew that it was something that I wanted to do. Then I came up with this idea, why don't I invent a tag that allows the blogger to create their own Disney movie! The rules are simple. Answer all questions with your imagination, being influenced by princesses that already exist. Tag some Disney lovers! The Questions If you were a Disney princess, what would your name be? For me, I think I'd want to play on Bria, and make it something like: Princess Briella? Although that sounds like Gabriella, so maybe Princess Gabriella? What would you look like? She'd definitely be black, because so far the only black Disney Princess is Tiana from the Princess and the Frog, which wasn't that good a movie! But anyway, she'd have curly hair and she'd wear silver, because no other princess does! What wou...

Book Haul | 3

Image
Hey Guys x Recently, I've been loving amazon for books. They always deliver conveniently so I can always arrange to be in when they come. So in the last few weeks, I've been buying a few books, so I thought that I'd show you the books that I've bought! If you've read any of them, let me know what you thought in the comments! Sprinkle Of Glitter 2016 Diary     I am a huge fan of Louise, aka Sprinkle Of Glitter, so I was always going to buy her diary. What I love about it, however, is that it isn't just a normal diary. It's packed with pictures and inspirational quotes and advice and I just really love it. I can't wait to start using it next year!   One Hundred Names I'm also a huge fan of Cecilia Ahern, so when I read the plot of this book, I bought it straight away! It's about a girl who makes a mistake at work that affects her personal life. She then finds a list ...
