5 Months and 48 Questions!

As of yesterday (26th September) I have been writing my blog for 5 whole months! I never expected to love blogging as much as I do and the excitement I get while planning and writing each post is something that I haven't experienced while doing anything else.

As an introvert, blogging gives me a way of expressing anything and everything that I want to talk about, and if you too are an introvert, I urge you to give blogging a try.

I've said 'Thank You' to you guys a lot this month, so I'm going to try not to say it again. But I hope you know that your read, comment or follow means the complete world to me and, even if I never achieve any more followers, comments or views again, I will continue to blog because I just love it so much!

1. What time did you get up this morning?
Around 8am. I know it's the weekend, but I'm probably the only person I know who is both a morning person and a night owl. I can go to bed at midnight and wake up at 7am totally ready for the day.

2. How do you like your steak?
As well done as it can be without it being burnt. I hate seeing pink areas within the meat.

3. What was the last film you saw at the cinema?
I think it was 'Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes'. Seriously, if you haven't seen it, go and watch it, it's a great film!

4. What is your favourite TV show?
Right now it's between The Vampire Diaries and F.R.I.E.N.D.S, I love them both so much!

5. If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?
Anywhere? Somewhere that's as quiet as the countryside without any insects. That would be my dream. But somewhere real? Maybe New York.

6. What did you have for breakfast?
Sausages and spaghetti, only on weekends!

7. What is your favourite food?
Pasta and garlic bread, together or apart, with anything savoury. I love them and eat them so much!

8. Foods you dislike?
Are vegetables too broad?

9. Favourite place to eat?
At my grandmother's house, she makes the best food ever!

10. Favourite dressing?
Not a big fan of dressings at all, as well as sauces, I prefer my food dry, weirdly enough!

11. What vehicle do you drive?
I don't.

12. What are your favourite clothes?
Something comfortable. I prefer comfort over style, always.

13. Where would you visit if you had the chance?
I'd love to go to Italy or France, as I've never been to either of them before.

14. Cup 1/2 empty or 1/2 full?
1/2 empty, but working to make it look at least 1/4 full!

15. Where would you want to retire?
Somewhere quiet and peaceful. A change from the a city environment!

16. Favourite time of day?
8am on a weekend, 8pm on a weekday.

17. Where were you born?
London!

18. What is your favourite sport to watch?
I can sit through a game of football, but I don't really enjoy it that much!

19. What is your favourite fragrance?
I don't have one at the moment, but I know that Union J have released a new fragrance, so it will probably be that!

20. What is your favourite face cream?
Clinique moisturiser.

21. Favourite baby/kids products?
I have no idea!

22.People watcher?
Where do you think I get the inspiration for my posts from?

23. Are you a morning or night person?
Both

24. Do you have any pets?
Nope, I'm not an animal person.

25. Any new and exciting news you'd like to share?
I wish! Exciting things never happen to me!

26. What did you want to be when you were little?
An actress of a writer.

27. What is your favourite memory?
I honestly don't know. All my best memories are in a clump to stop me from remembering the bad ones!

28. Are you a cat or dog person?
Cat

29. Are you married?
Nope

30. Always wear your seat belt?
Yep

31. Been in a car accident?
Nope

32. Any pet peeves
Rudeness, arrogance and being manipulative, to name a few!

33. Favourite pizza toppings?
Cheese. Incredibly boring!

34. Favourite flower?
Again, not a big fan. Maybe lilies (mainly because my oldest/best friend's name is Lilly)

35. Favourite ice cream?
Vanilla. Again, incredibly boring!

36. Favourite fast food restaurant?
Frankie and Benny's if I want a proper meal, McDonalds for a once-in-a-while quick snack!

37. How many times did you fail your driver's test?
Haven't taken it yet!

38. From whom did you get your last email?
Blogger, letting me know that I had replied to a comment on this blog.

39. Which store would you choose to max out your credit card?
Any bookstore!

40. Do anything spontaneous lately?
I'm not a spontaneous person, so I have to say no.

41. Like your job?
Don't have one, but if college counts as a job, then no!

42. Broccoli?
Weird question, but I guess the answer is no!

43. What was your favourite vacation?
Going to Florida about 6 years ago!

44. Last person you went out to dinner with?
On results day in August, I went for lunch with one of my closest friends, so I suppose it was her!

45. What are you listening to right now?
TRXYE by Troye Sivan. I'm a bit obsessed!

46. What is your favourite colour?
Silver or grey.

47. How many tattoos do you have?
None yet!

48. Coffee drinker?
Nope!

When ex-UFC fighter Dalton (Jake Gyllenhaal) takes a job as a bouncer at a roadhouse, he soon finds that his past is quickly catching up to him. I've never seen the original Road House, and when I put this one on I wasn't really planning to review it, but I found myself really getting into it. I liked this a lot more than I thought I would. Both the characters and the story were a lot more engaging and compelling than I thought they would be. The story sucked me in right from the beginning and I was interested the whole way through. The cast is great, but Jake Gyllenhaal completely carries the film and plays the character of Dalton really well. Again, I can't compare his performance to the original, but I really like the character. The fight scenes, which are pretty much what the film is about, are done really well. Wonka | Film Review

Young Willy Wonka (Timothée Chalamet) tries to follow his dreams to become a respected chocolatier, despite opposition at every turn . This film was never particularly high on my 'to-watch' list, but it was always on my radar, so I'm glad I've finally seen it. I liked this movie a lot more than I thought I would, but I still definitely had problems with it! For a start, while I love the fact that it was a musical, I didn't actually like any of the actual songs. None of them really stood out (except the one that's already known) and having only seen the film yesterday, I can't remember any of them. In fact, while the songs didn't hurt the film, I also don't feel like they were completely necessary. I would have liked the film the same amount if it hadn't been a musical. Wonka is a really charming character, and Chalamet plays him really well. In fact, the entire cast is great - definitely the best thing about the film by a mile. The relationship b

Scarface (1983) | 100 Movies Bucket List

Next up for the Bucket List was another first-time watch! I'd seen the original 1932 film years ago and really liked it, but I never got around to watching this (undoubtedly more popular) version, so I'm glad it was on the list. I really really liked this movie. I'm not sure if I like it more than, or the same as the original, but I definitely had a great time with it. One thing about finally seeing all these classic movies is seeing how much impact they've had on pop culture, and this film is definitely no exception. It's so quotable, there are so many iconic images, and it's one that everyone should watch if they haven't seen it before. The most talked-about aspect of this film is probably the violence, and that's so interesting to see. Not only the way it's spoken about, but also the difference between violence in older films like this and newer releases. My Problem With '8 Simple Rules'

Hey Guys x Today's post might come out as more of a rant, which I'm OK with because I haven't ranted about something in a while! Last year, I started watching the show '8 Simple Rules' when it started playing on Comedy Central. It originally came on between 2002 and 2005 but I didn't watch it when it was first on. Anyway, I really got into it. There were only three seasons, so it was over before I wanted it to be. And I loved this show, and I still love it. Comedy Central doesn't play it anymore but if it did I would dive right back into it because I love a good sitcom. However, I have a major gripe with a plotline of the show, that got more prominent in season 2/3. Let me just explain the characters a bit, so you know who I'm taking about in case you never watched it. The Matrix | 100 Movies Bucket List

  Next up for the Bucket List was a first-time watch. This is one that I had obviously heard of but knew next to nothing about. I found that it took a long time for me to connect with the story, and even then, while the film was interesting to watch, I never felt particularly invested in it. There were a lot of recognisable, iconic moments that I appreciated, and I get how much of an impact it had on sci-fi (and probably movies in general), but I don't know if it was for me. I somewhat enjoyed it, I understood everything that happened, but never felt connected, and didn't enjoy it as much as I wanted to. It could just be that I need to re-watch it, and I probably will, but for a first watch, I didn't take to it as much as I wanted to. But that being said, I'm glad I finally watched it!
